  • Publication number: 20220222872
Abstract: Machine learning (ML) models are introduced for image stylization, which learn and apply multiple selectable image styles, including styles learned in an ad hoc fashion. According to some embodiments, such models may be trained on images or image pairs comprising images stylized into one or more of a plurality of predetermined styles. At inference time, a style vector representative of a particular selected style may be obtained and injected into the neural network at one or more locations to stylize an input image into the selected style. According to other embodiments, the neural network may be trained in an ad hoc fashion to learn new styles based on small sets of input images. Adversarial training (e.g., in the form of a discriminator network and/or conditional generative adversarial network (C-GAN) loss) may optionally be incorporated into the training to reduce artifacts and generate images that more closely match the selected style.

  • Publication number: 20200378158
Abstract: A lever gate latch pull system with a pivoting T-shaped lever has two aligned first and second arms affixed to a swinging base foaming a T with a pivot hole proximate the junction of the aligned first and second arms and the swinging base. The T-shaped lever is pivotally affixed to a fence post to pivot the arms up and down as the swinging base correspondingly moves in a side to side upward arc. Affixed to the end of the swinging base is a weighted chain extending to and secured via a fastener to the free end portion of the pivotal latch lever of the gate latch in the resting position. The weighted chain provides pressure on the pivotal latch lever to stay in the latched position until lifted by the T-shaped lever. In operation, when the T-shaped lever handle first or second arms are positioned just beneath the top of the fence and depressed, they pivot the swinging base in an upward arc to pull the chain up to unlatch the gate latch to open the gate from either side.

  • Patent number: 10620927
Abstract: Deploying a software service. A defined software service offering is selected from a plurality of defined software service offerings. An instantiation order for deploying the selected defined software service offering on a corresponding computer system is generated. Each defined software service offering comprises a software service definition and at least one defined software policy. One selected from the group consisting of the software service definition, the software policy, and a combination thereof, provides a hardware configuration for the software service, a software configuration for the software service, and a managing policy for the software service. The instantiation order of the software service for execution on the computer system is created based on the hardware configuration, the software configuration and the managing policy.

  • Publication number: 20180238084
Abstract: A lever gate latch pull system with a pivoting Z shaped lever having a bent first arm with lever handle pivotally affixed to a fence post to pivot up and down. Opposite the first lever arm is a pivoting bent second arm affixed to a chain extending to and secured via a fastener to a gate latch pivotal latch lever. When the lever handle first arm is depressed, the second lever arm elevates to pull the chain up to unlatch the gate latch to open the gate. The lever handle is positioned usually just beneath the top of the fence, allowing a user to depress it from both sides of the latched gate to raise the chain to unlatch the gate latch; thereby enabling one to unlatch a locked gate without having to go around to unlatch the gate.

  • Patent number: 9175187
Abstract: Coating compositions for cementitious substrates may be made from a multistage latex polymer; silane; and a water-soluble acid, acid anhydride or acid salt capable of etching or otherwise reacting with the surface of the substrate to provide improved coating adhesion. The silane may be present as a silane coupling agent distinct from the multistage latex polymer, or may be present as silane functionality on the multistage latex polymer. The coating compositions adhere well to cementitious substrates and have a self-etching capability which improves coating adhesion, especially near edges and corners.

  • Patent number: 9141477
Abstract: An enhanced mechanism for providing data protection for variable length records utilizes high performance block storage metadata. In an embodiment, an emulated record that emulates a variable length record, such as a Count-Key-Data (CKD) record or an Extended-Count-Key-Data (ECKD) record, is generated by a Host Bus Adapter (HBA) of a mainframe system. The emulated record comprises a sequence of extended fixed-length blocks, each of which includes a data block and a footer. A confluence of the footers defines a high performance block storage metadata unit associated with the emulated record and includes a checksum that covers all data blocks and all footers of the entire emulated record. In one embodiment, the checksum is checked during transit of the emulated record between a HBA and a storage subsystem (e.g.
