  • Publication number: 20240174851
Abstract: A polypropylene composite resin composition and a molded article made from same have improved impact resistance. The composition includes: a first propylene-ethylene block copolymer resin having a melt index of 20 to 40 g/10 min (230° C., 2.16 kg); a second propylene-ethylene block copolymer resin having a melt index of 5 to 15 g/10 min (230° C., 2.16 kg); a thermoplastic elastomer including at least one of a styrenic thermoplastic elastomer or an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer; an inorganic filler; and a nucleating agent in appropriate amounts.

  • Patent number: 9175157
Abstract: The present invention provides a polypropylene resin composition in a mixture of a pellet (A) and a pellet (B), which is characterized by mixing them with various inorganic fillers and additives, wherein the pellet (A) comprises a long fiber-reinforced composite resin (a) obtained via a pultrusion impregnation process, and the pellet (B) comprises a composite resin (b) that includes polypropylene and thermoplastic elastomer. The polypropylene resin composition of the present invention can directly replace thermoplastic elastomer overmolding or painting in automotive parts to which such processes are routinely applied (e.g., interior components of the vehicle), which makes it possible to simplify and reduce the cost of the production process for such parts.
