Abstract: The invention is a weighted swaddling blanket designed to achieve safer sleeping conditions for an infant, while simultaneously providing the infant with an enhanced sense of security and comfort. The weighted sleeping blanket consists of two sheets of cloth material stitched/secured together to create several compartments. The left and right compartments each house a removable pellet bag. Each bag contains multiple polypropylene-like pellets. The center compartment consists of a mesh-like material that stretches to accommodates and holds the infant. All these compartments function together to swaddle the child in place on a surface, such as a crib.
