The electronic device includes a communication module, a display, and at least one processor operatively connected to the communication module and the display, wherein the at least one processor is configured to, in a state that full screen information on, for mirroring, a full screen displayed on the display is transmitted to an external device via the communication module, identify whether at least one configured condition is satisfied, based on an event occurring, and based on the at least one configured condition being satisfied, transmit, to the external device, information on an execution screen of at least one application among execution screens of applications being displayed on the display, in replacement of the full screen information so as to mirror only the execution screen of the application.

Abstract: A display device and a control method thereof are provided. The display device a display and at least one processor which controls the display to display first content; based on a multi-view execution command being input, determines at least one piece of content for providing a multi-view screen, the at least one piece of content being determined based on a context in which a multi-view execution command is input; displays, on the display, a list including the at least one piece of content; and displays the multi-view screen including first content and second content, wherein the second content is selected from among the at least one piece of content included in the list according to a user command. The first content may be provided by a first external device connected through of a first interface, and the second content may be provided by a second external device connected through of a second interface that is different from the first interface.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a request for a multi view function for displaying multiple pieces of content while the electronic device operates in a first display mode, receiving a selection of a type of a multi view layout to be provided in the multi view function, automatically rotating a display of an electronic device when the type of the multi view layout corresponds to a second display mode, switching a display mode of the electronic device to the second display mode when the display is automatically rotated, and displaying the multiple pieces of content in the second display mode, by using the multi view layout, wherein the first display mode is any one of a landscape mode and a portrait mode, and the second display mode is the other one of the landscape mode and the portrait mode.
