    Abstract: A method for the transformation of cis- and trans-cyclododecene oxide into cyclododecanone, comprising carrying out the reaction with catalytically activated hydrogen in the presence of a copper catalyst at a temperature of 150-260° C. and at a pressure in a range from atmospheric pressure to elevated pressure. The reaction proceeds via the intermediate products cyclododecen-3-ol and cyclododecen-3-one, and with cyclododecene being obtained as a by-product.
