  • Publication number: 20230191706
Abstract: An AAMP system includes an AAMP system station that includes a door and an AAMP controller, a robot configured to autonomously travel within the environment and including a robot controller, and a controller communicably coupled to the robot controller and the AAMP controller. The AAMP controller and the controller are configured to selectively authenticate the robot based on an authentication request and an authentication routine. The robot controller is configured to obtain, via a representational state transfer application programming interface (REST API), a text-based markup language file from the AAMP controller in response to the AAMP controller and the controller authenticating the robot. The robot controller is configured to broadcast, via the REST API, one or more commands to the AAMP controller to selectively position the door based on the text-based markup language file, and/or initiate the AAMP processing routine based on the text-based markup language file.

  • Publication number: 20230075185
Abstract: A method includes moving a locating feature associated with a robotic arm of the robotic system along a selected defined path to a detected position, where the detected position is a position of the locating feature when a force feedback condition is satisfied. The method includes calculating a positional offset of the robotic arm based on a nominal position and the detected position of the robotic arm. The method includes performing, by the robotic system, one or more operations at the manufacturing station using the positional offset.

  • Publication number: 20230076347
Abstract: An automated additive manufacturing production (AAMP) system includes a controller, a plurality of AAMP system stations disposed in an environment and configured to perform one or more AAMP routines, and a plurality of robots configured to autonomously travel within the environment. The controller is configured to select one or more AAMP system stations from among the plurality of AAMP system stations to perform the one or more AAMP routines based on a digital model of the environment and AAMP system operation data. The AAMP system operation data includes a printer state, a cleaning device state, or a combination thereof.

  • Publication number: 20230071893
Abstract: A robotic gripper apparatus for an automated additive manufacturing production system (AAMPS) includes a pair of gripping assemblies. Each gripping assembly is moveable in a transverse direction between a first position in which the gripping assembly engages an AAMPS workpiece and a second position in which the gripping assembly is disengaged from the AAMPS workpiece. Each gripping assembly includes a gripping element that defines an interface slot configured to receive the AAMPS workpiece. The interface slot is defined by a pair of transversely extending edges of the gripping element and a longitudinal edge of the gripping element disposed between the pair of transversely extending edges.
