Abstract: A system and method is provided that enables traceability within a professional networking system for consumer products, accessible to all members of the supply chain, from source to customer. The system is able to: identify, select and search for a product; create, post and match listing for buyers and sellers; trade, auction and confirm purchases; arrange logistics, such as but not limited to transportation; provide/obtain full traceability; and record and archive transactions.

Abstract: A method of managing traffic flow in a packet network. A working sub-network is provided, which comprises one or more provisioned static working paths between at least one source node and one or more destination nodes in the network, and the working sub-network with a service instance. A backup sub-network is provided, which comprises one or more dynamic protection paths between the at least one source node and the one or more destination nodes, and the backup sub-network associated with the service instance. During a normal operation of the network, forwarding subscriber traffic associated with the service instance through the network using the working sub-network. Following detection of a network failure affecting the service instance, the subscriber traffic associated with the service instance is switched for forwarding through the network using the backup sub-network.

Abstract: A method is provided for co-modelling and analyzing a packet network operating over an optical network. The method includes co-modelling the packet network and the optical network by generating a basic packet capacity based on a simulated packet network comprising packet network topology information and packet traffic information and generating a basic optical capacity based on a simulated packet transport network comprising optical network topology information and the basic packet capacity. The output of the co-modelled network is then used to perform analysis on the simulated packet transport network. For example, embodiments of the present invention provide methods of survivability analysis for providing packet link is protection in either the packet network or the optical network of the simulated packet transport network.
