  • Patent number: 7950945
Abstract: A Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card connecting device for a portable electronic device which is adapted to further reduce a thickness of the portable electronic device by limiting the height of the SIM card connecting device. The device includes: a printed circuit board (PCB); one or more patterned contacts provided on the PCB and being coupled with one or more contacts formed on the SIM card; and a housing mounted on the PCB for allowing the SIM card to be inserted into/extracted from the housing. The housing presses the inserted SIM card so that the contacts of the SIM card and the patterned contacts come into substantial pressurized contact and/or pressurized contact with each other, depending on a shape of the patterns. According to the present invention, the SIM card mounting space can be reduced, and the portable electronic device can have a further reduction in thickness.

  • Patent number: 6693679
Abstract: A monitor front case with gate landings is disclosed. Each of the gate landings is formed on the CRT seating surface of the front case at a position around each gate flash remaining on the case due to a gate of an injection mold. Each gate landing is depressed due to a gate of an injection mold. Each gate landing is depressed to a depth suitable for fully recessing the gate flash and avoids an interference between the gate flash and a CRT. The gate landings remove a gate flash grinding process from the injection molding process of the case and allow the CRT to be brought into close contact with the CRT seating surface without forming any gap in the junction between the CRT and the CRT seating surface, thus improving both the appearance of a monitor and work efficiency while assembling the CRT with the case.

  • Patent number: 6166783
Abstract: A CRT display device having a cathode ray tube for displaying an image, includes a front case having plural fixing bosses for mounting the cathode ray tube therein and four sides defining a display area; a deflection preventing rib, formed on each side of the front case, for minimizing a gap between the cathode ray tube and the front case; and a CRT chassis for fixing the cathode ray tube to the fixing bosses. Each deflection rib is made up of a first portion for receiving a pressing force from the installation of the cathode ray tube and a second portion for generating a reaction force against the front surface of the cathode ray tube. The first and second portions forming a profile comparable to the outer surface of the cathode ray tube.

  • Patent number: 5957270
Abstract: A switch assembly activates an electronic apparatus in such a manner that, despite unavoidable gaps existing between different components of the switch assembly, force is effectively transmitted from a push button to an activating switch. Between the push button and a transmitting member, a plunger and a socket together with a spring are disposed, and ratchets are formed on the plunger and the socket. Thus, the gaps between the different components of the switch assembly are eliminated. The ratchets are buttless threads which transmit the force from the push button to the transmitting member. The plunger is provided with a protrusion for coupling with a slot of the socket.
