  • Patent number: 7864421
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a symmetrical projection screen. The screen includes a front screen member and a rear screen member. The front and rear screen members are made of a hard material, such as metal, or a hard film. Between the front and rear screen members is disposed a shock-absorbing member. The shock-absorbing member is made of a soft film having physical properties and material quality different from those of the front and rear screen members, such as compressed sponge, plastic foam, or poly vinyl chloride (PVC). The front screen member and the rear screen member are arranged in a front-and-rear symmetrical structure about the shock-absorbing member. Consequently, the deformation factors, such as external pressure or the change in the weather, are extinguished or cut off by the shock-absorbing member, whereby the flatness of the screen is maintained.

  • Patent number: 7826134
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a projection screen. The screen includes a soft thin elastic transmission sheet having an elongation rate of 50% or more and high transmissivity, the elastic transmission sheet constituting a front surface of the screen, and a thin image sheet for focusing an image projected from a projector, the image sheet constituting a rear surface of the screen. The image sheet may serve as a transmission sheet or a reflection sheet. The image sheet may be directly formed at the screen, or the image sheet may be a hard film attached to the rear of the elastic transmission sheet. A vibration plate is disposed at the outside of the image sheet. Consequently, incident image is transmitted or reflected without any interference with external light, and therefore, it is possible to increase the brightness of the screen by two to five times as compared to a conventional screen.

  • Publication number: 20100073767
Abstract: A transmission type screen for stereoscopic images having a transmission layer includes an incident surface having a gloss surface, a transmission layer having a refractive index less than 1.55, a transmissivity more than 60%, and an imaging surface having surface particle sizes of 40 to 400 mesh that avoids a hot spot. The imaging surface is formed on the final surface through which images are transmitted, so that the components operate in an organic fashion with respect to each other. The polarization degree of stereoscopic images is maximized thereby increasing the three-dimensional effect and the transmissivity, and enables viewers to view images clearly several times better than with a conventional screen.

  • Patent number: 7623288
Abstract: A thin film reflective screen includes a surface layer, a transmission layer, a diffusion layer and reflection layers, which are formed in a single screen, which has functions such as an image forming on a surface, scattering, transmission, diffusion, and reflection, which are duplicated by re-reflecting light such that an image signal of pixel unit of an electronic image projected from a DLP projector or an LCD projector is enlarged to increase definition and brightness of the image. A dark color layer is formed on the surface of the screen such that contrast of the image is increased during the diffusion and the reflection, and as a result, resolution of the image is increased by two to nine times.

  • Publication number: 20090027632
Abstract: A bag type presentation apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes a bag-shaped case body having an upper case and a lower case, a curved reflective screen having a focus, and a small projector. The reflective screen is mounted at an inner surface of the upper case and has a reflectance of 4 to 50%. The reflective screen is a curved or spherical reflective screen or a fresnel reflective screen, to straightly reflect a light projected from the small projector located at the focal position thereof, thereby preventing a hot spot and realizing a high screen brightness of 4 to 50 times that of a conventional screen. The projector uses a LED as a light source and has a weight and volume of a fourth that of a conventional projector. The projector is positioned at a focal position of the reflective screen based on the curvature of the reflective screen when in use, and is received in the bag-shaped body case when being carried.

  • Publication number: 20080239172
Abstract: Disclosed is a table type bi-directional imaging apparatus, in which left and right viewers located at left and right sides simultaneously view the same picture or different pictures. The table type bi-directional imaging apparatus includes a table case having a table shape; a transparent window formed through the center of the upper surface of the table case; and left and right projectors and left and right imaging plates, having a screen structure, bilaterally symmetrically installed at left and right sides of the inside of the table case. In the table type bi-directional imaging apparatus, left and right projection distances to project pictures on large-sized screens and left and right viewing distances to view clear pictures are provided within an occupation area of a single table. Further, the imaging apparatus has a table structure, and thus does not require the occupation area of a separate table, thereby minimizing an area for installing the imaging apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7407294
Abstract: A multi-direction image viewing system includes a triangular or rectangular image case, and plural projectors symmetrically installed to the inner sides of the image case in three or four directions. Projecting light paths cross each other so that the size of the image case is reduced to 1/6.7 to ? of the size of the conventional image case. By reducing the weight of the image case through size reduction, the multi-direction image viewing system can serve as a mobile multi-direction image viewing system coupled with a trailer and transported by a small sized vehicle such as a motorcycle, as a wide viewing angle multi-direction image system attached to a wall and coupled with the safety fence of the bus terminal or the subway station, and as an image viewing system mounted to a ceiling or wall.

  • Patent number: 7405876
Abstract: A portable screen device having a dual shaft structure is disclosed. A left and a right rotation shafts are installed to an upper rod and the center of a lower frame of a screen in the horizontal direction and are connected to a left and a right supports. The rotation shafts are engaged with each other by a single adjusting device. When the screen moved up, the elasticity of the screen is held by left and right elastic wheels such that height of the screen is maintained. A magnet and a magnetic substance contact each other and are separated from each other at the central portions of the left and right supports. Due to rotation of a rotation rod installed in the intermediate portion of the supports, the screen moves up and down. Therefore, volume and weight of the portable screen device are reduced and the stability is increased.
