  • Patent number: 8613687
Abstract: A planetary gearbox, for an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle, comprising two stages, each provided with a sun gear, a ring gear and interposed planetary gears. The ring gear of the first planetary stage also forms the sun gear of the second stage, and the planetary gears of both stages are guided by a common planet carrier, produced from a casting material, which accommodates the planetary gears of the first stage at an axial offset position to the planetary gears of the second stage. The planet carrier is designed as one-piece such that pockets are respectively disposed in the planet carrier for receiving the planetary gears of the first stage at an offset angle, in the circumferential direction, to the pockets for receiving the planetary gears of the second stage, so that it is possible to form the pockets during casting using slides.

  • Patent number: 8579098
Abstract: A parking lock device (1) for an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle. The parking lock device (1) comprises a locking pawl (3) that is fixed to the transmission housing and mounted so that the locking pawl (3) can pivot. The parking lock device (1) has a guiding element (3b) and a guide plate (5) fixed to and supported by the housing in which the guide element (3b) of the locking pawl (3) is guided laterally. One of a low-friction supporting element (7, 8) and an electrically insulating supporting element in a form of an insulating body (107) laterally guides the locking pawl (3).

  • Patent number: 8545364
Abstract: A gear set arrangement for a planetary transmission comprising at least first and second simple planetary gear sets, each having sun and ring gears and a carrier supporting planetary gears. The gear sets are coaxially nested with the first gear set being radially within the sun gear of the second gear set in a common radial plane or radial planes which are only slightly axially offset. The ring gear of the inner first gear set and the sun gear of the outer second gear set, and the carriers of the two gear sets, are coupled in a fixed manner. To avoid forced movement of the gears, only one of the sun gear, the ring gear or the carrier, of each of the first and the second gear sets is radially supported substantially free of radial play on a centrally disposed transmission shaft or with respect to a centered supported component.

  • Patent number: 7967713
Abstract: A planetary gear set lubricating unit which supplies oil from inside a component adjacent the planetary gear set, via a radial bore and an oil catcher, axially through a bore of a planetary gear bolt to planetary gear bearings. The oil catcher forms a ring-shaped chamber, which can be filled with lubricant, and is arranged beside the planetary carrier approximately over the reference diameter of the planetary bolt. The oil catcher has outlet pipes extending axially to direct oil in the chamber. The oil catcher has ovular radial protrusions arranged such that a maximum radial dimension is close to the bolts and a minimum radial dimension is arranged between adjacent planetary bolts. The radially inner edge of the axial bore of the planetary bolts is radially located between the minimum and maximum dimensions of the protrusions. The chamber is delimited by a cover plate and a gasket.

  • Patent number: 7824302
Abstract: A transmission having gearsets (RS1-RS4), shafts (1-8) and shifting elements (A-E). A carrier of gearset (RS4) and an input shaft forming shaft (1), a carrier of gearset (RS3) and an output shaft form shaft (2), sun gears of gearsets (RS3, RS4) form shaft (3). A ring gear of gearset (RS1) forms shaft (4). Ring and sun gears respectively of gearsets (RS2, RS1) couple as shaft (5), a carrier of gearset (RS1) and a ring gear of gearset (RS3) form shaft (6), sun and ring gears respectively of gearsets (RS2, RS4) couple as shaft (7). A carrier of gearset (RS2) forms shaft (8). Located in the flow of power: elements (A, B) are respectively between shafts (3, 4) and a housing, element (C) between shafts (5, 1), element (D) between shafts (8, 2) or (8, 6) and element (E) between two of shafts (5, 7, 8).
