  • Patent number: 11220947
Abstract: A method for detecting the icing of a particulate filter, especially of a gasoline particulate filter, includes determining the temperature of the exhaust gas flow flowing through the particulate filter, whereby icing of the particulate filter is detected on the basis of the determined temperature of the exhaust gas flow. The method is improved in that the temperature of the exhaust gas flow upstream from the particulate filter and the temperature of the exhaust gas flow downstream from the particulate filter are determined, whereby on the basis of the measured temperature difference, the heat input into the particulate filter and the quantity of water present in the particulate filter are determined, whereby the aggregates states of the water present in the particulate filter are calculated by drawing up a balance of the heat quantity.

  • Patent number: 9649637
Abstract: Apparatus and method for processing materials such as granular matter mined from deposits, comprising a tubular container disposed upright and an axle device provided centered therein. A processing chamber for receiving the material to be processed is provided between the axle device and the inner wall of the tubular container. The tubular container is driven rotatingly. Engaging dogs are provided in the processing chamber as working elements.

  • Patent number: 6481395
Abstract: In a device for actuating a gas exchange valve for internal combustion engines, having at least one compensating element which is arranged in the force path of an actuating element of the gas exchange valve and which has a pressure space which is formed by a piston and a working cylinder and is connected to a pressurized fluid supply space via a non-return valve and a throttling portion, via which pressure fluid can be discharged from the pressure space during the working cycles. The pressure space is sealed to the outside, and the compensating element includes a high-pressure valve, via which pressure medium can be discharged in a throttled manner during the working cycles of the gas exchange valve as the high-pressure valve opens at a predetermined force on the compensating element and closes at a predetermined force which is greater than an average force and smaller or equal to a maximum force on the compensating element.
