Abstract: An analysis device obtains hash lists from databases of a server cluster. The analysis device determines repetitive hash values and repetitive data blocks. The analysis device deletes the repetitive data blocks from servers of the server cluster.

Abstract: In a method of error recovery when downloading data files using an application server, the application server connects to at least one terminal device and several file servers. The application server receives a file downloading request from the terminal device, finds a first file server nearest to the terminal device, and downloads the required data file from the first file server to the terminal device. The application server searches a file configuration table to find a second file server which is away from the first file server when the data file has not been successfully downloaded from the first file server, downloads the required data file from the second file server to the terminal device, and synchronizes the data file of the second file server to recovery the data file of the first file server when the data file has been successfully downloaded from the second file server.

Abstract: In a method for processing an image file using a computing device, an image file from a storage system is read. If an image in the image file is slanted, an incision coordinates according to a configuration file in the storage system and a preset formula is calculated. The method incises the image using the calculated incision coordinates and storing the incised image in a new image file. If an image in the new image file is not slanted, the method further determines whether the image has been incised. If the image has been incised, the method records the calculated incision coordinates that make the image not be slanted as optimal incision coordinates, and stores the optimal incision coordinates into a database.

Abstract: A distributed storage system receives a file from a client, stores the file into different storage units in the system, creates a system log in an access entry and creates a unit log in each storage unit. The system log records information of all files stored in the system, and the unit log in each storage unit records information of all files stored in the storage unit. When a file stored in a first storage unit is lost or destroyed, the system determines a second storage unit that stores the same file as the first storage unit according to the information recorded in the system log and the unit logs, and repairs the file in the first storage unit by copying the same file from the second storage unit to the first storage unit.

Abstract: In a method for storing data, the data received from a client is stored into a first storage node. A summary list of the data is created and stored into a storage unit, and summary information of the data is recorded in the summary list. A feedback message indicating whether the data has been successfully stored into the first storage node is transmitted to the client. The data that has not been successfully stored into each corresponding storage node is read from the first storage node and copied to a next storage node. The summary information of the data in the summary list is amended.

Abstract: In a method for reducing energy consumption of storage devices in an electronic device, a directory index of files stored in the storage devices is established, and the storage devices are turned off after establishing the directory index. In response to receiving a user request for processing a target file, the method determines a target storage device that stores the target file when the directory index includes information of the target file. The target storage device is turned on, and the user request is transmitted to the target storage device. The target file is processed in the target storage device according to the user request.

Abstract: In a method for generating drawing codes of a picture being drawn, a plurality of drawing elements and a drawing model for each of the drawing elements are defined. Each drawing model includes one or more drawing parameters. When a drawing element is selected and used to draw a picture, parameter values of the selected drawing element are obtained. Drawing parameters of a drawing model of the selected drawing element are replaced by the parameter values of the selected drawing element, to obtain drawing codes corresponding to the selected drawing element. According to a sequence of drawing steps of the picture, drawing codes corresponding to each selected drawing element are integrated into the overall drawing codes of the picture.

Abstract: In a cooperative drawing method using a computing device, a new picture and a drawing group is created. Client computers that join the drawing group are determined. The computing device receives a drawing request from one of the client computers, and assigns a control right and a drawing region of the picture to the client computer. The picture is allocated to the client computer having the control right to draw. According to changes to the picture, drawing codes of the picture are generated. The drawing codes are transferred to all of the client computers. The picture is stored into a storage system of the computing device.

Abstract: In a method of supporting multi-languages for an application software of a computing device, one or more content to be displayed on a user interface of the application software are searched from program codes of the application software, and a location of the displayed content located in the program codes is recorded. The displayed content is translated using multiple languages, a source document for the translated content corresponding to each of the languages is generated, and all source documents are stored into a program library of the application software. The source document from the program library are loaded when a language is selected from the user interface, and the displayed content is replaced with the translated content in the program codes of the application software. The user interface in form of the selected language is displayed on a display device when the application software is executed.
