  • Publication number: 20190093945
Abstract: A mechanical apparatus comprised of a plurality of pods in the form of an annular cylindrical sleeve, a cup and a ring cap. Whereas, the pods containing liquid are to be frozen for the purpose of dynamically discharging its thermal energy to a drink object placed within. The pods of the annular cylindrical sleeve are joined to each other by removable latitudinal elastic bands. Thus allowing the annular cylindrical sleeve to instantly expand/contract to grip varying sizes drink object. In operation, a charged (frozen ice) annular cylindrical sleeve is disposed in the cup; a ring cap is installed to cup to cover and protect the discharging of thermal energy therein from ambient conditions. A drink object in the form of canned or bottled may be inserted in the apparatus to receive desired chill temperature for an extended length of time in ambient conditions.

  • Patent number: 10030903
Abstract: A mechanical apparatus comprised of a plurality of pods in the form of an annular cylindrical sleeve. All pods containing liquid are to be frozen for the purpose of dynamically transfer/impart its charged thermal energy to a directly contacted beverage object placed within. The pods are joined to each other by latitudinal elastic bands allowing it to expand readily and grip onto varying size beverage containers. Furthermore, the plurality of pods and a beverage container are disposed in an insulated holder; a sealable cap is then inserted to seal off and insulate the discharging of thermal energy therein from ambient conditions. A beverage in the form of can or bottle might be placed in the apparatus to achieve desired chill temperature for an extended length of time in high ambient temperature conditions.

  • Patent number: 6232802
Abstract: An apparatus for tracking a peak level of an input signal includes a comparator for comparing the peak level of the input signal with a reference peak voltage signal. A sample and block circuit is coupled to the output of the comparator and is capable of sampling a portion of the input signal. The sampled portion of the input signal is defined by a smart window (timing window) which is received by the sample and block circuit. The sample and block circuit controls a charge pump that determines the level of the reference peak voltage signal. A method of generating a reference peak voltage signal includes receiving an input data, generating a timing window based upon the input data to define a sampling portion in the input data, comparing a level of the reference peak voltage signal with a level of the sampling portion in the input data, and determining a level of the reference peak voltage signal based upon the comparing step.

  • Patent number: 6211716
Abstract: An apparatus of compensating for offset in a received signal generated from a forward path stage, includes a first peak detector for receiving a first signal from the forward path stage and capable of detecting a peak of the first signal; a second peak detector for receiving a second signal from the forward path stage and capable of detecting a peak of the second signal; a differential amplifier coupled to the first peak detector and the second peak detector and capable of generating an offset control signal; and a compensation stage coupled to the differential amplifier and capable of compensating for offset in the received signal in response to the offset control signal.

  • Patent number: 6032762
Abstract: An elevator door operator for positioning elevator doors along an arcuate pathway includes a linearly displaceable actuator and a pair of linkage arms, each pivotally connected to the other and connected to one end of the linearally displaceable actuator. The linkage arms are also each pivotally connected at their opposite ends to each of two support arms, each of which support arms are pivotally connected at one of their ends to each other and secured at their opposite ends, respectively to each of the door panels.

  • Patent number: 5730254
Abstract: An elevator car door restraint includes a position indicator mounted at the access points at each of the floors, a locking arm pivotally mounted between its ends on a first portion of the car for movement of the first end of the locking arm between an engaged and disengaged position, and for contact by the second end of the locking arm with one of the position indicators. A lock plate mounted on the second portion of the car which moves relative to the first portion of the car when the car door moves includes a contact face which is engageable with the first end of the locking arm when the first end is moved to the engaged position to mechanically restrain the elevator car door from opening. The locking arm is biased by a spring so that the first end of the arm is rotated into engagement position unless the first end is permitted from such rotation by contact of the second end with a position indicator. An integral hoistway interlock for center-parting the hoistway access doors is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5486777
Abstract: A low power differential receiver input stage using n-channel/p-channel transistor pairs to adjust the voltage levels of differential output signals. A first n-channel/p-channel transistor pair is connected to a first output terminal and a second n-channel/p-channel transistor pair is connected to a second output terminal. First and second differential signals respectively applied to first and second input terminals are passed to the first and second output terminals through first and second resistors, respectively. The first differential signal is applied to the gates of the second n-channel/p-channel transistor pair, thereby adjusting the voltage level at the second output terminal. Similarly, the second differential signal is applied to the gates of the first n-channel/p-channel transistor pair, thereby adjusting the voltage level at the first output terminal.
