  • Publication number: 20070001364
Abstract: A sheet feeding apparatus includes an input tray, a paper picking device, and a paper separation device. The input tray is for placing a plurality of papers. The paper picking device is for performing a paper picking operation on the papers. The paper separation device, including a paper separation surface contacting with the papers placed on the paper tray, is for applying a paper separation force on each of the papers as fed in. When the paper picking device performs the paper picking operation on each of the papers, the paper separation forces applied on the papers are decreased as their paper separation paths are increased.

  • Publication number: 20060255530
Abstract: A paper pick-up module. The paper pick-up module comprises a pick plate for loading paper, a pick-up roller disposed above the pick plate to contact and convey the paper, a first elastic member biasing the pick plate upward, a first cam rotatably disposed above the pick plate and contacting the pick plate to make the paper separated from the pick-up roller, a second cam disposed above the pick plate, contacting the pick plate and rotated with the first cam, and a second elastic member biasing the second cam. When the first cam is separated from the pick plate, the pick plate moves upward and contacts the second cam due to the biasing force of the first elastic member, and the rising speed of the pick plate is retarded by the biasing force of the second elastic member.

  • Patent number: 7044780
Abstract: An electronic device and a lock device for locking the module of the electronic device are disclosed. The electronic device includes a module, a connection interface, a plug, and a chassis. The module is movably disposed on the chassis. The connection interface is disposed on the chassis and is electrically coupled to the module. The lock device includes a lock part, an elastic unit, and a contact part. The lock device is movably disposed on the chassis. When the plug is not in connection with the connection interface, the lock part locks the module. The elastic unit provides a predetermined force to affix the module. When the plug connects the connection interface, the plug pushes the contact part of the lock device for moving a predetermined distance to release the module.

  • Publication number: 20050270593
Abstract: A scanner, including a lever and an elastic support element, is provided. The lever includes a first part, a second part and a fulcrum, wherein the first part and the second part are respectively located at opposed sides with respect to the fulcrum, and the second part touches against an image sensor module of the scanner. An elastic force, provided on the first part by the elastic support element, acts on the second part with respect to the fulcrum. When scanning, the elastic force is capable of preventing vertical offset of the image sensor module resulting from mechanical factor or other unexpected factors. Therefore, the image sensor module can retrieve clear images all the time.

  • Publication number: 20050094223
Abstract: A scanning apparatus having an adjusting means is provided to allow the optical scanning module against the platen. The adjusting means is assembled with the carriage that carries the optical scanning module. The adjusting means at least comprises a roller and a rotated portion, wherein the roller tightly contacts the rotated portion. When the carriage is moving (during a scanning operation), the roller is rotating and friction (between the roller and the rotating assembly) causes the rotated portion to turn until contacting with the bottom surface of the optical scanning module, thereby allowing the optical scanning module against the platen.

  • Publication number: 20050058375
Abstract: A bushing structure includes an outer shell and an inner shell. The outer shell shaped as a thin ring with a predetermined length further has at least a locating aperture. The inner shell shaped as another thin ring to be double layered firmly inside the outer shell has at least a locating protrusion with respect to the locating aperture. When the inner shell is mounted inside the outer shell, the locating protrusion is anchored inside the respective locating aperture so as to prevent possible relative movement in between. By providing the thin outer shell and the thin inner shell to form a complete bushing structure, an inherent material-shrinkage problem of plastic bushing can then be avoided.

  • Publication number: 20040262100
Abstract: A driving apparatus and a self-brake apparatus are provided. The self-brake apparatus for use with a driving device includes a shaft, a wheel, a stopper and an elastic member. The shaft is driven by the driving device, and the wheel is movably engaged with the shaft. The stopper is positioned on the driving device. When the driving device is inactive, the elastic member provides a force pushing the wheel against the stopper to a motionless state. When the driving device is active, the shaft provides a force driving the wheel departing from the stopper to a rotation state.
