    Abstract: This invention discloses novel antimicrobial materials comprising of nanocrystalline metal, metal oxide, and active oxygen species in a permeable structure. It also discloses the compositions of the inventive material enriched with different active oxygen species. The inventive material showed a strong antimicrobial ability over a wide spectrum of microbies. The average log-reduction value was eight within five minutes. The inventive materials can remain sterile in air over more than two months. The methods used to prepare this inventive material are disclosed.

    Abstract: A system and method for initiating a conference call is provided. The method consists of a first participant initiating a first telephony session with a second participant. The first participant then places the second participant on hold, initiates a second telephony session with a third participant, and initiates the conference call. A SIP REFER message related to the second and third participants is sent to an application server. A SIP INVITE message is sent to the second and third participants. The first telephony session is replaced with a session between the second participant and a conference bridge. The second telephony session is replaced with a session between the third participant and the conference bridge.

    Abstract: A photoresist-free method for depositing films composed of metal and metal oxide from metal complexes. More specifically, the method involves the deposition of silver and silver oxide films by applying the amorphous film of a silver complex to a substrate. The silver complexes have the formula AgaLc, wherein L is preferentially a ligand selected from the group consisting of acac, carboxylato, alkoxy, azide, carbonyl, nitrato, amine, halide, nitro, and mixtures thereof, and a and c are greater than one. These films, upon, for example, thermal, photochemical or electron beam irradiation may be converted to the metal or its oxides. By using either directed light or electron beams, this may lead to a patterned metal or metal oxide film in a single step.
