    Abstract: Provided are a method, system, computer storage device, and storage area network for maintaining a communication path from a host to a storage subsystem in a network. A storage subsystem controls data transfer and access to a storage devices in a network, wherein the storage subsystem is coupled to a switch and the switch is coupled to a host in the network. A topological storage is coupled to the host, the switch and the storage subsystem, for storing a topological coupling relationship between the host and the switch and a topological coupling relationship between the switch and the storage subsystem. In response to determining a failed path between the storage subsystem and the switch coupled to the storage subsystem, the storage subsystem determines a first port on the storage subsystem in the failed path.

    Abstract: The present invention provides novel methods for preparing glycosylated molecules such as oligosaccharides, glycolipids, and glycoproteins/peptides. Novel sialyltransferases are also disclosed. The method includes forming a reaction mixture containing an acceptor molecule, a donor substrate having a sugar moiety and a nucleotide, and a sialyltransferase selected from PmST3 (SEQ ID NO:7) and certain variants thereof. The reaction mixture is formed under conditions sufficient to transfer the sugar moiety from the donor substrate to the acceptor molecule, thereby forming the glycosylated molecule. In some embodiments, the acceptor molecule is selected from a natural product, an oligosaccharide, a glycoprotein, and a glycolipid. In some embodiments, the donor substrate is formed via conversion of a suitable hexosamine derivative to a cytidine 5?-monophosphate(CMP)-sialic acid in a one-pot reaction mixture containing asialic acid aldolase and a CMP-sialic acid synthetase.

The controller is programmed to receive input from the driver representing a desired operating mode and a desired energy reservation. If the desired operating mode is HEV mode, then a state of charge (SOC) offset is established as the smaller of a maximum SOC offset and an allowable SOC offset, otherwise, the SOC offset is established based on the desired energy reservation. The vehicle is operated based on the SOC offset.

    Abstract: Hybrid-electric and pure electric vehicles include a traction battery. During vehicle operation, impedance parameters of the traction battery may be estimated. To ensure accurate estimation results, certain persistent excitation criteria may be met. These conditions may not always be met, in which case active excitation of the traction battery power demand may be initiated. During periods of generally constant battery power demand in which a predetermined range of frequency component amplitudes of battery power demand is less than a predetermined magnitude, active excitation may be desired. A controller may cause at least one of the frequency component amplitudes to exceed the predetermined magnitude without affecting acceleration of the vehicle. Battery power demand may be affected by operation of an electric machine and an electrical load. An engine and a wheel brake may be operated to offset changes in battery power demand such that driver wheel output power is not affected.

First, a high resolution panorama image is generated from at least one camera view image to capture the wide-angle view over an activity field. The customer view frame specifies the image area where a target object is presented in focused view. The position and size of the customer view frame are determined according to the position and size of the tracked target object as well as the user's view navigation inputs.
