Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the methods and systems for multimodal profiling. The method can include stabilizing a target, performing a tagmentation on the target using an agent, and generating a library using a reverse transcriptase enzyme. The agent can include a Tn5 transposome complex, a Tn5 transposase reagent, or a combination thereof, and the Tn5 transposome complex or the Tn5 transposase reagent can be loaded with an adapter. The reverse transcriptase enzyme can be configured to transcribe DNA from both a DNA template and an RNA template and perform a terminal transferase activity by template switching and an introduction of an adapter sequence into a cDNA and a transposed chromatin of the target.

  • Patent number: 9256633
Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present invention, a system partitions data for parallel processing and comprises one or more computer systems with at least one processor. The system partitions data of a data object into a plurality of data partitions within a data structure based on a plurality of keys. The data structure includes a plurality of dimensions and each key is associated with a corresponding different dimension of the data structure. Portions of the data structure representing different data partitions are assigned to the computer systems for parallel processing, and the assigned data structure portions are processed in parallel to perform an operation. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and computer program product for partitioning data for parallel processing in substantially the same manner described above.

  • Patent number: 7769735
Abstract: A workload characterization system characterizes an exemplary business intelligence workload for use in sizing a hardware configuration required by a new database system running a similar business intelligence workload. The workload characterization system uses performance-oriented measurements to characterize an exemplary workload in terms of resource usage and performance metrics. The workload characterization system applies unsupervised data mining techniques to group individual business intelligence queries into general classes of queries based on system resource usage, providing insight into the resource demands of queries typical of a business intelligence workload. The general classes of queries are used to define an anticipated workload for a planned database system and to help identify the hardware required for the planned database system.

  • Patent number: 5728912
Abstract: The process of butene-1 production comprises the steps of: a) sending a inhibited catalyst containing reactor effluent to a flash section where the pressure is decreased by about 0.1 MPa to about 2 MPa, and obtaining a first gaseous phase containing ethylene and butene-1 and a first liquid phase containing the inhibited catalyst; b) sending the first liquid phase from step a) to at least one vaporisation section which allows the separation of a second gaseous phase containing butene-1 and ethylene from a second liquid phase containing the inhibited catalyst; c) sending the second liquid phase from step b) to at least one thin film evaporation section which allows the separation of a third gaseous phase containing ethylene, butene-1 and some other heavier hydrocarbon products from a concentrated inactivated catalyst solution and, d) collecting the first, second and third gaseous phases to form a gaseous reactor effluent substantially free of spent catalyst.
