The techniques comprise performing matching with and connection to a wireless device; monitoring a signal sent by the wireless device; parsing the signal and determining whether the signal is associated with a preset power-conserving wireless personal area network service; determining whether a terminal device is in a state of playing a video in response to determining that the signal is associated with the preset power-conserving wireless personal area network service; and in response to determining that the terminal device is in the state of playing the video, rendering an effect on the video played by the terminal device based on the signal and updating data based on the signal.

In one embodiment, a method includes detecting, by a first device, whether a second device transmits a radio signal, when a timing interval of a timer is equal to a preset threshold, where the first device is a device woken up by the second device, transmitting, by the first device, a first message to the second device when the radio signal is detected, causing the second device to switch to a station (STA) mode after receiving the first message, where the first message is used to notify the second device that the first device is woken up successfully, and switching, by the first device, to an access point (AP) mode, causing the second device to implement wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) access through the first device.
