  • Publication number: 20230289697
Abstract: A method for optimizing a photovoltaic system is provided. The method aims at an optimal system revenue rather than power generation. In the method, parameters including a type of the photovoltaic module, a type of the inverter, a manner in which the photovoltaic module is arranged, and a type of the photovoltaic bracket, the capacity ratio of the photovoltaic module, a system cost, a financial cost, and cost operation and maintenance are taken into consideration for iteration with an inclination angle as the iteration variable when performing automatic optimization, to determine a final configuration of the photovoltaic system.

  • Patent number: 8567038
Abstract: The invention relates to a vertical axis wind turbine, and in particular to an apparatus and method for transporting the vertical axis wind turbine. The method for transporting the vertical axis wind turbine, including the steps of: employing an apparatus to be a box or frame; situating a generator horizontally in the apparatus; fixing an upper flange and lower flange to a vertical shaft; fixing the base of the generator on the corresponding surface of the apparatus through holes at the base of the generator; and supporting the other end of the vertical shaft by a supporting object.

  • Patent number: 8496433
Abstract: A wind mill structure of a lift-type vertical axis wind turbine. The lift-type vertical axis wind turbine includes a vertical shaft and the wind mill includes a plurality of blades and supporting arms. The supporting arms hold the blades, and the blades are connected to the vertical shaft via the supporting arms. A setting angle, formed by a chord of the blades and a tangent line that goes through the center of the blades, ranges from ?12° to 12°. An angle, formed by the chord of the blade and the rotatable supporting arm, ranges from 7° to 100°. The wind mill can maintain relatively stable rotation speeds under wind speeds exceeding the rated wind speed by adjusting the angle of the supporting arms, thereby ensuring stable output from the vertical axis wind turbine.

  • Patent number: 8390142
Abstract: A vertical axis wind turbine including: a vertical axis wind mill having a vertical shaft and a generator having a generator rotor shaft, wherein the vertical shaft of the wind mill share the same shaft with the generator rotor shaft. This arrangement simplifies the structure and increases the stability, reliability, and service lifetime of vertical axis wind turbines by making on-site assembly easy and cutting the on-site workload and cost, without undermining the wind resistance capability and safety prompting wider application of vertical axis wind turbines.

  • Publication number: 20110272224
Abstract: A brake system for a vertical axis wind turbine including a brake device (3) that is connected with the rotor shaft of generator (1) or vertical shaft (2), brake shoes or brake calipers (4) which are controller by the electromagnetic actuator (11), a friction lining (6), as well as a safety pin (5) and a safety pin electromagnetic actuator (22) that controls the safety pin (5).The brake device (3) is a brake drum or a brake disc. The brake system of the invention is able to reduce the vibration of the vertical axis wind turbine in strong wind conditions effectively without the need of reinforcing the wind turbine's ability to withstand strong winds, thus increasing the safety and reliability of the vertical axis wind turbine. A method for braking a vertical axis wind turbine is also provided.
