Abstract: A method for Layer 2 packet transmission is disclosed, where a corresponding relationship between packet attribute information and public MAC addresses is configured in an access device such that the access device could find a corresponding public MAC address in the corresponding relationship when receiving a packet from a user terminal, replaces the source MAC address with the public MAC address found, and then sends the packet to a convergence layer device. A method for transmission of a Layer 2 packet without character information is also disclosed. The access device needs to obtain the packet attribute information and carry the information in the packet to be sent to the convergence layer device. An access device is also disclosed. As a result, the capacity of the VLAN and the MAC address table items needed for the convergence layer device to convert MAC addresses is greatly decreased.

Abstract: A multicast service processing method and access equipment are disclosed. The method includes: receiving multicast program request message from terminal device, inquiring about program rating parameters according to said multicast program request message, wherein the program rating parameter includes multicast group IP address and multicast program rated priority, generating multicast program data according to the program rating parameters, sending the multicast program data to the terminal device.

Abstract: An integrated access system and method and an integrated access module are provided. The system includes a broadband service interface module (310), a narrowband service interface module (320), and a main control switching interface module (10). The main control switching module (10) includes a broadband service switching module (110) providing a broadband uplink interface and a narrowband service processing module (120) providing a narrowband uplink interface and performing narrowband service data process. The broadband service switching module (110) is connected to the broadband service interface module (310) and the narrowband service interface module (320) though broadband buses (21), so as to collect and switch the narrowband service data. The broad band service switching module (110) is connected with network though the broadband uplink interface, and the narrowband service processing module (120) is connected with network though the narrowband uplink interface.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for data communication. In the system and method for data communication, a part of communication peers in the communication system are assigned as super peers, and each super peer forwards message according to its route table. When a communication peer logs in the system, network information of the logged communication peer is saved in a super peer which is logically closest to the logged communication peer through messages forwarded among every super peer. And when an origination communication peer searches for a destination communication peer, the network information of the destination communication peer is saved in a super peer which is logically closest to the destination communication peer through the message forwarded among every super peer in super peer layer.

Abstract: A method for supporting access of a Point to Point Protocol over Asynchronous Transfer Mode (PPPoA) terminal including: the PPPoA terminal initiates a Point to Point Protocol (PPP) negotiation to a broadband access device based on an Internet Protocol (IP) architecture; the broadband access device assigns a Media Access Control (MAC) address to the PPPoA terminal, builds a Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) connection between itself and a Broadband Access Server (BAS) and acquires a Session ID; the broadband access device converts a PPPoA packet sent by the PPPoA terminal into a PPPoE packet and sends the PPPoE packet to the BAS, according to the MAC address and Session ID, and converts the PPPoE packet sent by the BAS into the PPPoA packet and sends the PPPoA packet to the PPPoA terminal. A device for supporting the access of a PPPoA terminal is provided.

Abstract: A method for supporting source-specific multicast (SSM) forwarding over Ethernet, includes: making a Source-Specific Virtual Local Area Network (SS-VLAN) include source IP (SIP) information of the SSM; using the SS-VLAN identifier as a VLAN identifier upon Ethernet encapsulation of an SSM IP message; and performing SSM forwarding on the basis of the Ethernet encapsulation. The present invention further discloses a router and an Ethernet switching device. By employing the method and device thereof according to the present invention, the device cost and upgrade cost of the whole network can be reduced, the compatibility with the existing device to a great extent can be ensured, and investment of the operator can be reduced.

Abstract: A method for preventing MAC address counterfeiting may include: receiving, by an authentication device, a source MAC address and access port information of an access port, wherein the source MAC address and the access port information are associated with an authentication request from the access port; determining, by the authentication device, whether the source MAC address received is a counterfeit MAC address according to the source MAC address received, the access port information received, and access port information that is stored in the authentication device and corresponds to the source MAC address received; and if the source MAC address received is a counterfeit MAC address, rejecting, by the authentication device, the authentication request. A system, an access device and an authentication device are also proposed.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for implementing a multicast service. The method includes: constructing a multicast service notification packet, and sending the multicast service notification packet to a user terminal; the multicast service notification packet may be a return notification packet for responding a request of a user for joining a multicast group or an abnormity notification packet for notifying a user of reason for an abnormity in the multicast service or the reason that the user fails to join the multicast group. Therefore, it is effective to improve the user's satisfaction of a multicast video service provided by an operator and to improve the operability and the manageability of a multicast video network.

Abstract: A method and device for shaping the traffic flow transmitted in the network. The method mainly includes: after the traffic flow (TF) sent from the video source server is received, scheduling and shaping the TF respectively according to the type of the received TF, and sending the shaped TF to an access device. As a result of this invention, it is possible to prevent the influence to the access device from the video flow burst in the development of the present IP television (IPTV) service so as to ensure the reliability of the access device in the network. This invention also has such advantages as simple implementation process and low cost.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide broadband access equipment and a method for implementing a video service, and the broadband access equipment includes a video service component transmitting stored video service data via the access component of the broadband access equipment to a subscriber terminal according to a request from the subscriber terminal. In accordance with the embodiments of the present invention, the bandwidth demands of video services to an access network and a convergence network are reduced and the bandwidth bottleneck between a backbone network and a convergence network is avoided effectively. The resource management mechanism of an access network and a convergence network is simplified, and the resource management of the access network is simplified. The utilization of network bandwidth is improved, the management of network resources is simplified, and the bottleneck at a video server is avoided.

Abstract: The invention discloses a bandwidth expanded DSLAM and a data transmission method thereof. In the invention, a video bus that is specialized for multicasting video data transmission is added in the DSLAM; the video bus with original data bus together perform data transmission for the DSLAM, so the bandwidth is expanded and the bandwidth problem of the multicasting video data transmission in the present DSLAM has been solved. It is implemented on the backboard and with lower cost.

Abstract: A method, a system and an access device for implementing error correction are disclosed. The method includes upon receiving a data stream, identifying, by an access device, the data stream on which a forward error correction (FEC) needs to be performed and performing FEC coding on the data stream, and then sending out an FEC data stream generated by FEC coding together with a raw data stream, or sending out directly a data stream on which the FEC does not need to be performed. Abstract: An access device includes a Multi-protocol Label Switching (MPLS) connection management functional module for establishing a label connection and using the label connection for service transmission. The present invention also discloses a service transmission method, including establishing, in the access device, an external connection with the network side, and getting the received service mapped by the access device to the external label for transmission. A high bandwidth of the access device is ensured by utilizing a simple label switching principal in the MPLS protocol according to this invention; meanwhile, it is possible for the access device to support the access of multiple services, such as those of a Time Division Multiplexing (TDM), an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), a Fast Ethernet (FE) and an Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL), by utilizing the good service adaptability of the MPLS protocol to effectively increase the utilization rate of the network.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method for binding transmission lines and the method includes the following steps: first decide a transmission speed supported by all the transmission lines to be bound, activate all the transmission lines to be bound at the transmission speed supported by all the transmission lines and then bind all the transmission lines. Apparatus for binding transmission lines is also disclosed in the embodiments, which includes a speed reselecting module, a reactivating module and a binding module. According to the embodiments of the present invention, transmission lines with different transmission speeds are bound together in such a way that transmission lines with different transmission speeds could be activated at one transmission speed. Therefore, the bound transmission line may provide wider bandwidth for the user because all the bound transmission lines have the same transmission speed.

Abstract: A method for improving subscriber access capacity of a broadband access device is disclosed, including: establishing a Virtual Local Area Network Path Identifier (VlanPI) and corresponding VlanPI Tag, establishing a VLAN Circuit identifier (VlanCI) and corresponding VlanCI Tag for each access port of the broadband access device, dividing the access ports into groups and assigning the established VlanPIs to each group; then, before transmitting an ethernet frame, determining the VlanCI which corresponds to the access port and inserting the VlanCI Tag for identifying the VlanCI into the standard ethernet frame, determining the VlanPI corresponding to the group to which the access port belongs and inserting the VlanPI Tag which is used to identify the VlanPI into the standard ethernet frame, and transmitting the ethernet frame to an uplink device through an uplink port by the broadband access device which directly connects with the uplink device.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for transferring user position identifier. By adding two tags i.e. a VlanCI tag and a VlanPI tag for identifying users accessed into broadband access network, the number of users accessing to the broadband access network is increased, and the problem of having insufficient VLAN ID in the broadband access network is solved, so that the broadband access network can hold any number of users. By using this invention, devices in the broadband access network only need to do VlanPI scheduling during the message transmission, without caring about the details of user services, i.e. devices in the broadband access network carry out the management in thick path manner rather than in thin path manner, and the features associated with user services are solved by the cooperation of broadband access devices and BAS devices.

Abstract: A communication system of cascaded devices with a backup function includes a line adapter with multiple inputs and multiple outputs. Wherein, the communication devices of adjacent levels are cascaded through the line adapter, in each communication device, the port of an active main control board which is connected to the line adapter is open, and the port of a standby main control board is closed. The present invention also discloses two Active/Standby switchover methods applied in the above-mentioned communication system, by performing on-off control upon a communication device's interfaces connected to the line adapter, it is guaranteed that the communication devices cascaded by this communication device does not need to perform Active/Standby switchover in main control boards. By applying the present invention, the system's Active/Standby reliability and stability can be improved besides the implementing costs can be reduced.
