  • Patent number: 9541458
Abstract: A method for determining a temperature at a predetermined location in a winding of subconductors of an electric machine is provided where each subconductor is encased in electric subconductor insulation. The method includes predetermining the location between one of the subconductors and the associated subconductor insulation; arranging, in said winding, an optical fiber with a sensor material piece that is fixed to the predetermined location, the optical properties of said sensor material piece being temperature-dependent and uninfluenced by stretching; exposing the sensor material piece to light via the optical fiber such that, following an interaction with the sensor material piece, light is emitted from said sensor material piece; measuring the spectrum of the light; and using this spectrum to determine the temperature at the predetermined location.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 24, 2012
Date of Patent: January 10, 2017
    Assignee: SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT
Inventors: Haiko Adolf, Marcus Banda, Norbert Keyssner, Roland Röding, Lothar Trefflich

  • Publication number: 20110163640
Abstract: A rotor for a dynamoelectric machine is disclosed. A bottom duct is disposed in the rotor, through which a cooling medium flows and conductors are cooled via radial ducts during operation. The bottom duct is embodied such that the cross section thereof decreases towards the center of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 7915771
Abstract: The invention relates to a salient-pole machine comprising at least one field coil that extends in an axial direction of the salient-pole machine and is located below a pole shoe on a rotor body. Said machine is characterized in that the field coil is pressed against the pole shoe by means of at least one spring that is provided between the field coil and the rotor body and that an axial cooling channel is created in the gap between the field coil and the rotor body that is formed by the spring. The spring is configured in particular as a bent plate spring.
