The VDA may include a control panel assembly (CPA) positioned within a communication range from the VDA for sending and receiving wireless signals to and from the VDA, and a central monitoring station located remotely from the CPA and communicating with it. Also the VDA includes a recording module, for recording video information. The PDM discriminates movement of an object in the viewing region and consequently activates the video camera module, based on characteristic parameters like temperature, size, movement direction, and movement speed.
