  • Publication number: 20070265615
Abstract: An electrosurgical instrument with electrode, suction, optional irrigation and means to bend the distal part of the surrounding suction tube is described. A distal part of the suction tube (around the electrode) has two members, whereas one member can be engaged inside the other—to various degrees—in order to control the length of the suction tube and its relation to the tip of the electrode. Means to fixate the electrode within the suction tube are described. Also described are means to evacuate smoke, blood, irrigation anticoagulant fluid and debris via a suction tube to a separation chamber and evacuation of the gaseous portions by a vacuum machine. The separation chamber serves as a blood collection container (the blood could then be re-infused to the patient!). Irrigation means of isotonic fluid with blood-anticoagulant combined with the suction are described. Combination of the various functions and options could be utilized for building various useful surgical instruments.

  • Publication number: 20070186468
Abstract: A double wall plant pot, having a soil compartment and a fluid compartment, is presented. It includes also means to regulate the rate of flow from the fluid compartment to the soil compartment, and means to prevent soil from penetrating to the fluid compartment. Both hydrostatic and capillary pressures drive the fluid from the fluid into the soil the soil compartment respectively. Also described are means to aerate the soil compartment.

  • Publication number: 20060284030
Abstract: A multiple bags assembly and a fitting receiving stand or can is described. The bags have holes and ribbons knotted through the holes to keep the bags and the holes aligned together respectively before they are mounted on the can. The can has hooks upon which the bags assembly—through its holes—is mounted. After mounting the bags assembly on the can/stand, the ribbons are cut and removed. A flat rim on the can is covered by the mounted bags and prevents garbage from falling into the space between the bags assembly and the can/stand. When the inner bag is full and pulled out, the hooks with the curvature and/or bulging keep the rest of the assembly inside the can or stand. The next bag in line is then ready to receive a new load of filling. When this bag is full, it is removed and so forth until the last bag of the assembly is utilized and removed. Then a new assembly is mounted and the process of utilization starts anew etc. etc.

  • Publication number: 20060225180
Abstract: Reactive protective armors for diverting hitting bullets, shrapnel and small shells away from a trooper's helmet, vest and/or away from the skin of vehicles, planes, helicopters or marine vessels are described. The protective armor consists of multiplicity of reactive units, which cover the protected object like tiles. Each reactive unit includes tiny explosives on one side and parallel hinges opposite to the explosives. The hitting armament detonates the explosive, which in turn rotate the plate, thus diverting the bullet away from the protected object. Another embodiment of the reactive-protective unit is a pressurized cell full with noninflammable fluid or gel. In this case the protected object is covered with multiple pressurized cells. When a bullet or shrapnel punctures the skin of the cell the fluid or gel bursts and pushes the bullet away from the protected object. It is important to mention that the bullet activate only one unit, living the other units intact and ready to take other hits.

  • Patent number: 5451223
Abstract: A novel electrocutting/coagulating instrument is provided herein. The instrument includes a handle having a forward end and a rear end. A suction tube is secured to the handle and is adapted to be connected only to a source of suction. The suction tube has a forward end and a rear end, the rear end being connected to the handle, and also being connected to the source of suction, and the forward end of the tube projecting beyond the forward end of the handle. A manually-controllable, electrically-actuated cutting/coagulating blade electrode is operatively connected to the handle, a portion of the cutting/coagulating blade electrode projecting beyond the forward end of the handle. A lead is securely connected to the blade electrode and is adapted to be connected from a source of electricity to the cutting/coagulating blade electrode.
