  • Publication number: 20230285144
Abstract: A prosthetic device, such as a prosthetic heart valve, can include a frame that is radially expandable and compressible between a radially compressed state and a radially expanded state. In some examples, the prosthetic device can include locking mechanisms that are configured to hold the prosthetic device in a radially expanded state. In some examples, the locking mechanisms can be integrated into the frame of the prosthetic device.

  • Publication number: 20230240843
Abstract: An implantable prosthetic device can include a radially expandable and compressible frame including an inflow end portion and an outflow end portion. The frame can include an expansion and locking mechanism comprising a member having a first set of lateral extensions disposed adjacent an outflow end and a second set of lateral extensions axially spaced from the first set, each lateral extension comprising a bore extending into the lateral extension. The frame can further comprise a commissure attachment member having a first set of arms each extending into a respective inner bore of the first set of lateral extensions and a second set of arms each extending into a respective inner bore of the second set of lateral extensions such that the commissure attachment member is restrained from movement relative to the expansion and locking mechanism in the radial and axial directions.

  • Publication number: 20220338978
Abstract: An implantable prosthetic device can include a radially expandable and compressible frame including an inflow end portion and an outflow end portion. The frame including a plurality of struts, and at least one expansion and locking mechanism having a first member, a second member extending at least partially into the first member, and a third member. The third member can include an engagement portion. The plurality of struts can include a first strut and a second strut pivotably coupled to one another to form an apex, the first strut having a first flange and the second strut having a second flange. When the frame is expanded, distal advancement of the third member can position the engagement member between the first and second flanges such that they engage the engagement member to resist pivoting of the first and second struts relative to one another to resist compression of the frame.

  • Publication number: 20220257367
Abstract: An implantable prosthetic valve can include a frame movable between a radially compressed and a radially expanded configuration. The frame can include a first strut having a first locking feature disposed on a radially facing inner surface of the strut and a second strut having a second locking feature disposed on a radially facing outer surface of the strut. The first and second locking features can engage each other so as to allow pivoting of the first and second struts relative to one another in a first direction upon radial expansion of the frame and resist pivoting of the first and second struts relative to one another in a second direction to resist radial compression of the frame.

  • Publication number: 20210393398
Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve includes an annular frame that is radially collapsible and radially expandable, a plurality of leaflets situated within the frame, each leaflet having opposing commissure tab portions on opposite sides of the leaflet, each commissure tab portion paired with an adjacent commissure tab portion of an adjacent leaflet to form at least one commissure, and a plurality of post members mounted on an interior surface of the frame. The at least one commissure includes a commissure attachment assembly including a support member disposed at least partially around the commissure tab portions and the commissure tab portions are folded around the support member. The commissure attachment assembly is secured to a first post member of the plurality of post members such that the commissure tab portions are positioned between the first post member and the support member.

  • Patent number: 7644658
Abstract: A blanket fastening assembly for securing an image transfer blanket to an intermediate transfer member drum of an electrostatic printer comprising a resilient biasing arrangement adapted to be connected to an end of the blanket to act in use so as to resiliently tension the blanket, with at least one end portion of the blanket being held in use by a resilient biasing clamping member which is adapted to move during the operational life of the drum so as to accommodate stretching of the blanket whilst maintaining tension in the blanket.
