    Abstract: Embodiments of the present application relate to a method and an apparatus for failure report. According to an embodiment of the present application, a method can include: in response to accessing a cell by a radio resource control (RRC) re-establishment procedure or a connection setup procedure, receiving a user equipment (UE) information request; and in response to the UE information request, transmitting a UE information response message including a radio link failure (RLF) report, wherein the RLF report indicates failure information being at least one of: a RLF, a handover failure (HOF), a first timer associated with a fast master cell group (MCG) link recovery procedure expiry, a dual active protocol stack (DAPS) HOF, and a conditional handover (CHO) failure. Embodiments of the present application can solve failure report problems in emerging communication scenarios, and can facilitate and improve the implementation of 5G new radio (NR) technology.

    Abstract: The invention discloses a method for estimating the air propagation delay of a direct wave, wherein an azimuth, an elevation angle and a total delay of a multipath wave reaching a receiving end are obtained through a receiving device; a departure angle of a reflected wave is obtained using a geometric relationship of wave reflection; a hypothetical point on a direct wave ray is selected as a transmitting end, and hereby the air propagation delay of the direct wave and the position of a reflection point of the reflected wave are calculated; the propagation delay and distance of the reflected wave are calculated according to the total delay of the direct wave and the reflected wave and the position of the hypothetical point. The invention can obtain the air propagation delay of the direct wave, thereby obtaining a propagation distance of the direct wave and fulfilling the requirements of ranging and positioning.

According to embodiments of the present disclosure, an AP in a recovery mode transmits its identity information to a mesh portal (MPP) in the mesh network via an unsecured connection between the AP and the MPP. Upon a successful verification by the MP, the AP establishes a secured connection with a trusted server to obtain configuration information. The configuration information is used by the AP to establish a mesh link with an MPP or MP in the mesh network automatically. Accordingly, the AP switches from the recovery mode to a normal mode. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an effective way for deploying and/or recovering an AP in a mesh network, which is more secure and requires no manual operation.
