  • Patent number: 11382113
Abstract: In wireless communication, uplink communication by a wireless communication system user equipment may include providing data packets by a data source in the user equipment, detecting a pattern relating to uplink transmission of the plurality of data packets, and scheduling transmission of the plurality of data packets by the user equipment. One or more aspects of scheduling transmission of the plurality of data packets may be based on the detected pattern.

Date of Patent: July 5, 2022
    Assignee: QUALCOMM Incorporated
Inventors: Haiqin Liu, Gang Xiao, Peng Wu, Arvind Santhanam, Saket Bathwal, Rudhir Upretee, Xing Chen, Xiaojian Long, Shailesh Maheshwari
  • Patent number: 11357037
Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to techniques for handling out-of-order grants. For example, upon detection of an out-of-order grant, the best scheduling policy for handling the out-of-order grants may be selected based on at least one traffic condition. In some aspects, a scheduling policy may involve canceling and regenerating out-of-order grants. In some aspects, a scheduling policy may involve reordering data units. In some aspects, a scheduling policy may involve designating a reorder time window.

  • Patent number: 10791558
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine a limit on a number of resource blocks (RBs) permitted to be used for a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) transmission by the UE; may determine, based at least in part on the limit, one or more parameters for the V2X transmission, wherein the one or more parameters include at least one of a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for the V2X transmission, a number of transport blocks (TBs) for the V2X transmission, a number of RBs per TB for the V2X transmission, or a retransmission configuration for the V2X transmission; and may transmit the V2X transmission based at least in part on the one or more parameters. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Publication number: 20190090280
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are described herein for a wireless communication device to request uplink grants associated with the first subscription using at least one Radio Frequency (RF) resource, including tuning away from the first subscription to the second subscription for a tune-away time interval, determining whether the tune-away time interval exceeds a threshold, transmitting at least one scheduling request associated with the first subscription for a throttled count in response to the tune-away time interval exceeding the threshold, wherein the throttled count is less than a default count, determining whether an uplink grant has been received in response to any of the at least one scheduling request transmitted within the throttled count, and initiating an uplink data Random Access Channel (RACH) process in response to not receiving the uplink grant.

  • Patent number: 9999049
Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to wireless communications. Protocol data units (PDUs) can be received at a network layer from one or more transmitting nodes using a link associated with each respective transmitting node. One or more missing PDUs can be detected based, at least in part, on sequence numbers of the received PDUs. A timer can be started based on the detection of the one or more missing PDUs. In response to expiration of the timer, and without receiving the one or more missing PDUs before the expiration of the timer, a lower network layer can be notified that the one or more missing PDUs are received to prevent attempted transmitting/retransmitting or other processing of the one or more missing PDUs.
