  • Publication number: 20250185026
Abstract: A user equipment (UE), including a vehicle to everything (V2X) device, a pedestrian UE, or other UE, a baseband processor or other network device can operate to receive an indication of a sidelink (SL) discontinuous reception (DRX) parameter (e.g., an SL DRX active time) of a receiver UE for SL communication (e.g., Mode-2 SL communication). A resource selection procedure can be performed of a set of candidate resources within a resource selection window (RSW) based on the SL DRX parameter of the receiver UE so that at least a subset of candidate resources of the set of candidate resources satisfies a threshold to be within the SL DRX parameter of the receiver UE. A report of the set of candidate resources can then be transmitted from the physical (PHY) layer to a higher layer to enable the SL communication. The SL communication, for example, can include an autonomous determination of SL resources for a Mode-2 sidelink communication.

  • Publication number: 20250184053
Abstract: Systems and methods for coverage enhancements for sidelink (SL) synchronization signal block (SSB) (S-SSB) between a transmit (Tx) user equipment (UE) and a receive (Rx) UE are disclosed herein. S-SSB frequency domain enhancement may use frequency hopping for S-SSB and/or S-SSB that use an increased number of physical radio bearers (PRBs). S-SSB time domain enhancements may modify an S-SSB periodicity, a number of S-SSB per period, use a clear channel assessment (CCA) (or listen before talk (LBT)) procedure, and/or transmit only some of a configured set of S-SSBs for an S-SSB periodicity. Multi-beam S-SSB enhancement may index S-SSBs of a configured set and send those S-SSBs using beams corresponding to the indexes. • Publication number: 20250183965
Abstract: The present application relates to a reduced complexity UE. In an example, the UE includes multiple receive ports to support downlink multiple input multiple output (MIMO) operations. This set can be six or more to support six or more layers for the downlink MIMO operations. A first set of the receive ports are logically grouped in a first group, and a second set of the receive ports are logically grouped in a second group. A channel state information (CSI) sent by the UE to a base station can indicate the mapping of the layers (or the receive ports) to codewords that the base station is to send to the UE. Additionally, or alternatively, an SRS transmission by the UE is associated with a particular group of the receive ports.

  • Patent number: 12323836
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining which part or operation of one or more Secondary Cell (SCell) activation process (es) to defer or restart when an attempt to simultaneously perform multiple operations of the one or more SCell activation processes would cause interference. For example, radio frequency (RF) tuning and/or automatic gain control (AGC) settling for an SCell activation may be deferred until after a Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) for the SCell activation is sent by a UE to the SCell. In another example, RF tuning and/or AGC settling corresponding to the activation of a first SCell may be deferred until after RF tuning and/or AGC settling corresponding to the activation of a second SCell is complete.

  • Patent number: 12317245
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for implementing beam failure management techniques at a user equipment (UE). The UE receives a timing advance command (TAC) from a currently camped cell and initiates a time advance timer (TAT). When the TAT is running the UE is in a first operating state. The first operating state indicates that the UE is in time alignment with the cell. The UE identifies that the TAT has expired. When the TAT is not running the UE is in a second operating state. The second operating state indicates that the UE is not in time alignment with the cell. The UE implements one or more beam failure management techniques based on the UE operating in the second operating state.

At a first transmit opportunity, the UE may transmit first PUSCH (including UL-SCH data that may be multiplexed onto the first PUSCH). Additionally, at a second (later) transmit opportunity, the UE may transmit second PUSCH (including the CSI report(s) that may be multiplexed onto the second PUSCH). The second transmit opportunity may be identified as a transmit opportunity starting at least a specified number of symbols after a first symbol of the first repetition. The specified number of symbols may be dependent upon at least one of UE uplink processing time capabilities or SCS.
