  • Publication number: 20150243906
Abstract: Novel acenaphthylene imide-derived semiconductor materials, including small molecule compounds, polymers and oligomers. Also provided are methods for making the novel semiconductor materials and the use of the novel semiconducting materials in electronic or optoelectronic device. In some embodiments, the novel semiconducting materials are used as n-channel component in organic field-effect transistors as well as complementary electronic circuits including inverters. High mobility can be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20150188335
Abstract: A charging assembly and a charging control method are provided for charging a battery pack according to an actual voltage of the battery in the battery pack. The charging assembly includes a battery pack having a battery with a rated charging current, a charger having a charging module for outputting an output voltage and an output current, and a charging circuit between the charging module and the battery. A method of operation includes: detecting the output current and the output voltage; calculating an actual voltage value on the battery; and determining whether to decrease or keep the output current or increase the output current of the charging module.

  • Patent number: 8568871
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for nanostructure synthesis that includes growing nanostructures on a layered structure compound at a low temperature using a solution containing a solvent and at least one precursor. The method can include synthesizing and assembling nanowires in essentially the same method step. Disclosed nanostructures and nanowires are substantially uniform in diameter and single crystal. Nanowires can intersect to form networks and can be covalently bonded at points of intersection. Disclosed nanowire networks can be substantially uniform and can form an ordered network. Nanowire networks can be used to fabricate electronic and optical devices.

  • Publication number: 20130209502
Abstract: Disclosed are nanoparticle-autophagosome conjugates capable of stimulating an immune response against a target antigen, wherein the nanoparticle-autophagosome conjugates include autophagosome(s) covalently attached to alumina nanoparticle(s), wherein the autophagosome includes defective ribosomal products (DRiPs) of the target antigen. Also disclosed are immunogenic compositions including these conjugates and/or antigen-presenting cells loaded with these conjugates, and methods of stimulating an immune response against a target antigen by administration of immunogenic compositions including these conjugates and/or antigen-presenting cells loaded with these conjugates.

  • Publication number: 20100305330
Abstract: A process for preparing 2-alkyl-3-halo-6-nitrilpyridine and its carboxylic acid and ester derivatives by reacting 2-alkyl-3-halo-pyridine N-oxide with dimethyl sulfate, followed by reacting the adduct with alkaline cyanide to obtain the target molecule is disclosed. Further treatment of the nitrile with base to obtain the corresponding acid, and esterification are described as well. The process was scaled up to multi-kilogram level that provided satisfactory output.
