  • Patent number: 5934101
Abstract: The condensed water, as condensed by applying the VRC to a regeneration process, and the strong solution, as fed out of a regenerator, are employed as a heat source to preheat a weak solution so that the preheating amount of the weak solution is increased to improve the performance coefficient of a heat pump.

  • Patent number: 4896515
Abstract: Disclosed are a heat pump, a method of energy recovery in the heat pump and a method of curtailing the required power for driving a compressor in the heat pump, which commonly center essentially upon providing a vapor-liquid separator for separating a working fluid introduced from a condensor through an expansion valve into vapor and liquid, an expansion turbine to be driven by the vapor separated through the vapor-liquid separator, and a compressor adapted to be driven by the expansion turbine, into which turbine a cooling liquid is atomized and sprayed.

  • Patent number: 4558568
Abstract: Geothermal fluid is pumped up through a production well applying the following process. The produced geothermal fluid is separated into steam and brine in a separator tank or a flash tank. A part of the separated steam is compressed by a steam compressor and brought into the production well. The steam acts as a pump by its bubble effect and pumps up the brine. The other part of steam and brine are utilized for driving the power generating apparatus such as a turbine, total flow turbine or the like.

  • Patent number: 4555905
Abstract: A method and system is described which employs a thermal energy accumulator in which a thermal energy fluid and hot water coexist with each other. Hot water is taken out of the accumulator and supplied as thermal energy to an energy utilization compound arrangement of a total flow turbine and a steam turbine driving an electric power generator. The thermal energy fluid may be in the form of saturated steam, for example.
