  • Patent number: 9497438
Abstract: [Object] To prevent image quality deterioration due to unnecessary format conversion. [Solution] An STB (set top box) 200 receives bit stream data that is transmitted from a broadcast station 100 in such a manner as to be carried on a broadcast wave, and obtains stereoscopic image data, audio data, and the like. Furthermore, the STB 200 transmits the stereoscopic image data and the audio data to the TV (television receiver) 300 through the digital interface of HDMI. In a case where the received stereoscopic image data can be handled by a TV 300 and, furthermore, the TV 300 has requested that transmission of the stereoscopic image data be performed without performing format conversion, the STB 200 does not convert the format of the received image data, and transmits the received image data to the TV 300 in the as-is format.

  • Publication number: 20150046405
Abstract: A server system receives messages from client computing devices. Each of the messages corresponds to a transaction. The server system assigns each respective transaction to a respective fresh virtual machine. Furthermore, the server system performs, as part of a respective virtual machine processing a respective transaction, a modification associated with the respective transaction to a shared database. The shared database is persisted independently of the plurality of virtual machines. In response to determining that processing of the respective transaction is complete, the server system discards the respective virtual machine. In response to determining that the respective transaction is associated with a cyber-attack, the server system uses checkpoint data associated with the respective transaction to roll back the modifications associated with the respective transaction to the shared database.

  • Patent number: 8279142
Abstract: A display device (1) including a surface discharge type plasma display panel (2) performs an addressing operation, a sustain operation and a reset operation. In the addressing operation, address discharge of an opposed discharge form with the second electrode (Y) used as a cathode is generated between the second electrode (Y) and a third electrode (A) in a cell to be energized or in a cell not to be energized. In the reset operation, an obtuse wave pulse (Pr1) having a negative polarity is applied to the second electrode (Y) so as to generate charge adjustment discharge starting from discharge of the opposed discharge form with the second electrode (Y) used as a cathode between the second electrode (Y) and the third electrode (A).
