Abstract: An electric control system for a photoelectric touch input apparatus including a plurality of light-emitting elements arranged to produce a plurality of light beams in parallel on a common plane and a plurality of photosensitive elements opposed to and aligned with the light-emitting elements to receive the light beams so as to produce a plurality of light-receiving signals at each level of the light beams applied thereto.

Abstract: In a navigator for vehicles, a distance sensor detects a distance travelled by a vehicle and a heading sensor detects a direction of travel of the vehicle. In response to the detection signals from the sensors a microcomputer computes the present position of the vehicle and generates a position signal. In accordance with the position signal from the microcomputer and the selection of display selection switches a display tube gives a graphic display of a road map or a character display of a road map data.

Abstract: A color video display apparatus for vehicles detects a light or dark condition outside a vehicle to perform a variable gain control on a circuit for amplifying blue, green and red video signals. In response to the dark condition outside the vehicle, the amplification factor of the red video signal is increased relative to those of the blue and green video signals.

Abstract: A mobile navigator comprises a distance detector for generating a running distance signal, an azimuth detector for generating a progression azimuth detecting signal, a CRT display for indicating the current position of an automotive vehicle, a microcomputer for calculating the current position of the vehicle from the distance detecting signal and the progression azimuth detecting signal and supplying the current position signal to the display, and a memory in which is stored a plurality of map data, earth's magnetic field declination information different for each area in association with the map data, and earth's magnetic field strength information.
