  • Publication number: 20030177571
Abstract: In order to dress a subject's hair using the two first and second kinds of medicine solutions, a hood must be once taken off. Therefore, in order to apply the second medicine solution, the position of the hood must be adjusted so that the head is centrally located at the hood. This adjustment is troublesome for both the operator and subject. In order to obviate such inconvenience, a hair dressing device equipped with a hood D includes a fixed hood 71 and an opening/closing hood 72 into which said hood is divided, said opening/closing hood being openably attached to said fixed hood. In this case, said opening/closing hood 72 is opened/closed so that said fixed hood 71 is opened from above.

  • Patent number: 6505919
Abstract: A pressure generating chamber communicating with a nozzle orifice from which ink is to be ejected. A vibration plate constitutes at least a part of the pressure generating chamber. A piezoelectric element includes a lower electrode constituting at least a part of the vibration plate, a piezoelectric layer formed on the lower electrode, an upper electrode formed on the piezoelectric layer, and an active part for actuating the vibration plate to eject the ink from the nozzle orifice. A neutral plane of the actuation of the active part is located in the vibration plate.

  • Publication number: 20020197122
Abstract: A method of controlling a relative movement of a cutting blade and a workpiece which are moved relative to each other by a movement device in an operation with a machine tool. The method includes a step of bringing the cutting blade and an object into contact with each other, by moving at least one of the cutting blade and the object toward each other by the movement device, and a step of controlling the relative movement on the basis of a relative position of the cutting blade and the object which is detected by the movement device upon the contact of the cutting blade and the object with each other.

  • Patent number: 5363131
Abstract: An ink jet recording head, in which a vibrating element includes electrodes disposed on both surfaces of at least one of its edge portions at a dot forming pitch. A gap forming member is disposed so as to form a gap suitable for producing ink mist on a surface confronting a vibrating surface of the vibrating element. Since the ink is retained in this gap by surface tension, upon application of an alternate voltage to the vibrating element to produce an edge-mode vibration, the vibration produced at a piezoelectric body substrate is transmitted to the ink, propagating through the ink. The vibration propagated up to an interface between the ink and the air is transformed into a surface wave, thereby misting the ink.The thus produced ink mist, having vibrational kinetic energy, splashes in the air and thus forms a dot on a recording sheet.
