  • Publication number: 20130032580
Abstract: An optical path structure of a laser processing machine that irradiates a laser beam from a processing head to a workpiece to perform laser processing, includes: a casing that has an opening, a light leading unit that includes a bend block including a bend mirror which deflects a laser beam traveling within the casing toward a side of the opening and an optical path tube which protrudes from the bend block toward the side of the opening for leading the laser beam to the processing head, a sealing member that is arranged at an edge part of the opening, a moving member that is abutting against the sealing member, that slides with respect to the sealing member, and that is fixed to the light leading unit, and a drive unit that integrally moves the moving member and the light leading unit in a longitudinal direction of the moving member.

  • Patent number: 5889256
Abstract: In the present invention, a curvature variable reflector made from a material capable of elastically deforming in response to a fluid pressure is formed to a curved-face mirror by making use of a pressure by a fluid such as air so that a diameter of a laser beam coming into a converging optical member can be changed at a high speed step by step or smoothly. And by controlling the fluid pressure step by step or steplessly according to a type or thickness of a work, machining can always be performed with an appropriate laser beam diameter.

  • Patent number: 5756961
Abstract: A laser cutting machine having a cutting head that is positionable in X-, Y- and Z-directions and which comprises a laser oscillator for supplying a beam via a plurality of mirrors to the cutting head and onto a workpiece mounted on a flat table surface with rising rollers or a retractable rotatable support in the table. The locations and center-of-gravity positions of the machine components are disposed for optimum maneuverability and balance. The plurality of mirrors in the optical system have a first bend mirror, that is a precision-adjustable, circular-polarizing mirror, and a plurality of subsequent bend mirrors that are disposed to counterbalance any resulting phase shift amounts. The subsequent mirrors can be ES or PS coated mirrors and can be accompanied by convex, concave, collimating, etc. mirrors and lenses as needed. A collimation device ensures proper focusing of the beam over a wide movable range.
