  • Patent number: 5761728
Abstract: An asynchronous access system for a computer system includes processing modules performing processes, at least one shared system memory module, and a system bus connecting the processing modules and the shared system memory module. Each of the processing modules includes a processor, a plurality of buffers coupled to the processor and to the system bus, and a controlling unit for writing data from the plurality of processors into the shared system memory module. Data is written into the shared system memory module by a processor generating write instructions to write data via the plurality of buffers and the system bus. The controlling unit controls the writing such that one writing instruction writes data into a plurality of buffers, then transfers the data to the shared system memory module via the system bus, with another writing instruction writing additional data into another plurality of buffers and transferring the additional data to the shared system memory module.

  • Patent number: 5521495
Abstract: A rotor 10 is constructed of a rotating shaft 7 and a semicylindrical rotating core 9 mounted on the shaft 7. A stator is coaxially arranged, with the rotor 10 being surrounded by a pair of annular stator coils 11 and 13 arranged one above the other in an axial direction of the rotor 10. A yoke member of the coils 11 and 13 is provided with magnetic material plates 19, 21, 23 and 25. The plates 19 and 21 for the coil 11 have halves 19A and 21A with inner peripheral portions protruding radially inwardly to approach the rotor 10, while the remaining plates 23 and 25 for the coil 13 have halves 23A and 25A with their inner peripheral portions protruding radially inwardly to approach the rotor 10. The halves 23A and 25A are oppositely disposed from the halves 19A and 21 A so as to have the coils 11 and 13 be opposite to each other in phase of the inductance as the rotor 10 rotates.

  • Patent number: 5517625
Abstract: A system bus control system for a system has a plurality of first modules and at least one second module. The first and second modules are connected together via a system bus which is controlled by an arbiter receiving requests to use the system bus from the first and second modules. Each of the first modules includes a lock control signal supervising unit, a lock control signal outputting unit, a command outputting unit and a response receiving unit. Each of the second modules includes a lock control signal supervising unit, a source module information storing unit, a command receiving unit and a response outputting unit. The lock control is controlled by the first and second modules rather than the arbiter, which permits one of the first and second modules to use the system bus if the system bus is idle.

  • Patent number: 5455508
Abstract: A rotational angle sensor includes a cylindrical bobbin, a freely-rotatable shaft provided at the center portion of the bobbin so as to extend in a direction vertical to the central axis of the bobbin, two coils which are wound between the center portion of the bobbin and one side portion thereof and between the center portion of the bobbin and the other side portion thereof, respectively, and a magnetic (or non-magnetic) member which is linked to the shaft so as to be freely rotatable in the bobbin such that a rate at which the magnetic member is deviationally located at one side of the two coils is varied in accordance with a rotational angle, whereby the rotation of the shaft is reflected to the variation of the inductance ratio of the two coils. When the non-magnetic member is used, magnetic fluid is filled in the bobbin.
