  • Publication number: 20020182429
Abstract: A decorative sheet using a paper substrate is provided which, even in the case of the adoption of a construction such that a surface resin layer has been formed by crosslinking through an ionizing radiation irradiation to improve surface properties such as abrasion resistance, does not cause an unfavorable phenomenon such that the workability is lowered due to a deterioration in strength of the paper substrate caused by the ionizing radiation and, consequently, the sheet is broken at the time of lamination. A decorative sheet S comprises, stacked in the following order from the top surface toward the back surface, a surface resin layer 4 formed of a crosslinked product of an ionizing radiation-curable resin, a paper substrate 1, and a high-modulus resin layer 2 having a tensile strength of not less than 40 MPa as measured according to JIS K 6301. • Patent number: 5470645
Abstract: A magnetic recording medium comprises a non-magnetic base material, a lower magnetic layer containing a magnetic powder for recording in a long wavelength range, and an upper magnetic layer containing a magnetic powder for recording in a short wavelength range. By adding a small particle abrasive with a median diameter in the range from 0.05 to 0.3 .mu.m to the upper magnetic layer and by properly selecting the type and amount of a resin binder contained in the upper magnetic layer, a satisfactory abrasion effect can be obtained. This effect can be obtained, even if the abrasive with a small particle diameter is used without necessity of increase of the amount thereof. In addition, by using this abrasive, even if the upper magnetic layer is thin, the surfaces of the upper magnetic layer and the lower magnetic layer can be smoothened. Therefore, an excellent magnetic recording medium having high recording and reproduction characteristics in a wide wavelength range and high running durability can be provided.

  • Patent number: 5418622
Abstract: A recording and reproducing system has two controllers. One of the controllers compares broadcast schedule list data with the data bases of a plurality of recorder/reproducers to detect which recorder/reproducers have not recorded which material, controls a cart machine to reproduce the video and audio signals of the detected material, and controls the detected recorder/reproducers to record the reproduced video and audio signals. The other controller places the recorder/reproducers in a playback mode based on broadcast control data, and controls them to reproduce and transmit the video and audio signals of materials at corresponding broadcasting times. The recording and reproducing system can automatically carry out a preparatory process to reproduce the same material in a plurality of transmission channels, can easily change the order in which materials are scheduled to be transmitted immediately before they are broadcast, and is relatively inexpensive to manufacture.

  • Patent number: 5418077
Abstract: A magnetic recording medium comprises a non-magnetic base material; a lower magnetic layer containing a magnetic powder for recording in a long wavelength range and a resin binder; an upper magnetic layer containing a magnetic powder for recording in a short wavelength range and a resin binder; and an intermediate layer disposed between the two magnetic layers. By properly selecting the type and amount of resin binder contained in the upper magnetic layer and by disposing the intermediate layer whose main component is a resin binder, dispersion property of the magnetic powder in the upper magnetic layer can highly be improved, and thin and smooth magnetic layers can be obtained. Thus, the recording medium provides excellent reproduction characteristics in the wide wavelength range and has excellent running durability. In particular, the reproduction characteristics in a short wavelength range can be improved.

  • Patent number: 5278551
Abstract: A meter at each user's house has a bar-coded user number shown thereon, and has a display section for displaying a reading. A data input terminal unit has a bar code reader for reading the user number and a keyboard for manually inputting a present reading. A data recording controller has a meter reading data file having a present reading for each user number. The data input terminal unit radio-transmits a read user number to the data recording controller and radio-receives a previous reading, corresponding to the user number, from said data recording controller. The data input terminal unit computes the amount used from this previous reading and the present reading manually input, and causes a printer to print meter reading data including this used amount on a reading slip while radio-transmitting it to the data recording controller.
