Accordingly, in the front guide attachment section (30), a selected attachment interval LS is able to be adjusted between three steps without exchanging components by just changing the orientation of each attachment member (26) when attaching the attachment member (26).

Thus, bills difficult to be curved along the outer circumferential surface of the drum, such as creased or wrinkled bills, can be curved along the outer circumferential surface of the drum, and the bills wound round the drum can be prevented from shifting or skewing.

Abstract: The present invention provides a medium protection device and a medium separating and stacking device capable of avoiding damage to a medium when moving the medium along a guide. In a banknote cassette, a guide body is attached to a circumferential side face of a central body of a tongue piece roller in a range not provided with tongue pieces. When feeding out banknotes, the banknote cassette stops the tongue piece roller in a retracted state, thereby positioning an outer circumferential face of the guide body in the vicinity of the surface of a front upper curved portion of a hole in the conveyance guide, such that the hole can be placed in an almost completely blocked state. The present invention can accordingly prevent the vicinity of a corner of a banknote from entering the hole, enabling creasing during conveyance to be forestalled.

Abstract: Present invention provides a medium processing device and a medium transaction device that may perform conveyance processing due to input and output of mediums with simple configuration. In a banknote deposit/withdrawal device of ATM, conveyance path inside a conveyance section is formed in straight line shape running mainly along front-rear direction. During deposit counting processing of deposit processing, the banknote deposit/withdrawal device retains deposit reject banknotes in a conveyance path retention section within a second conveyance section, and decides and stores conveyance destination for each banknote based on verification results obtained from a verification section, and during deposit storage processing of deposit processing, the banknote deposit/withdrawal device conveys banknotes fed out from a temporary holding section to the decided conveyance destinations to be stored.

A bent portion (35a) is provided at one end of the sliding groove (35) on the side of an accumulating tongue piece roller (28). When the bills to be paid out to a customer are accumulated in a bill deposit/withdrawal unit (10), the bill press (26) turns so that the sliding pins (30) on the side of the accumulating tongue piece roller (28) enter the bent portion (35a), and thereby the supporting face (26a) is inclined toward the accumulating tongue piece roller (28).
