    Abstract: On an inner wall of a side wall portion of a funnel, a pair of protrusions are integrally formed as glass buildups at positions separated by a predetermined distance from an anode button toward a side of a neck tube. The pair of the protrusions are formed symmetrically on both sides of a virtual baseline extending to an seal edge surface and the neck tube through the center of the anode button. The virtual baseline is an intersection between a virtual plane including a tube axis and the inner wall, and passes through approximately the center of the seal edge surface in the lengthwise side.

    Abstract: In the automatic sound field correcting device, a plurality of audio signals to be reproduced by a plurality of speakers are input, and the signal processing is applied on the corresponding signal transmission paths. The measurement signal is supplied for the respective signal transmission paths, and output by the corresponding speakers. The sound of the output measurement signal is collected and the detection signal of the collected sound is generated. The equalizer gain values are determined based on the detection signals. By determining the identical equalizer gain values for the plural signal transmission paths for which the phases of the audio signals are to be matched, the phases of the signals on those signal transmission paths are matched, and the strange auditory feeling due to the phase mismatch can be reduced.

    Abstract: By the speaker detecting device, the test signal is supplied to the output terminal to which the speaker is to be connected. If a speaker is connected to the output terminal, the test sound is output via the speaker. If no speaker is connected to the output terminal, no test sound is output. The test sound detecting unit detects the test sound in the acoustic space and compares the signal level of the test sound with the predetermined threshold level, thereby to judge whether or not a speaker is connected to the output terminal.

A method of manufacturing such a treatment instrument includes inserting one end of the first coil and one end of the second coil in a connection pipe from opposite ends thereof, exposing both ends of the connection pipe and corresponding portions of the first and second coils. The portions exposed to the arc columns are melted and connected.

    Abstract: A swashplate type hydraulic device has a ball joint which includes a spherical socket of a major arc longitudinal section formed in a plunger or a shoe member and a ball formed at an end of a connecting rod which connects the plunger and the shoe member, the ball being fitted in the socket so as to permit a swing motion of the rod around the ball, the inlet of the socket having a center offset by a predetermined amount of distance from the center of the socket while the ball having a cylindrical portion which can be fitted in the inlet and which has a center located offset from the center of the ball by an amount equal to the offset amount of the inlet center relative to the socket center, the centers of the inlet and the cylindrical portion being offset relative to each other in a fitted state of the socket and ball. The ball includes a chamferred portion to permit the ball to be fitted in the socket when the rod is at a position outside its normal swinging range.
