Abstract: A seal comprising a sealing arrangement which is applicable in a mounting and intended for a lid of an isostatic press. The sealing arrangement is applicable to allow sealing between the lid and a pressure chamber wall. The sealing arrangement comprises at least two individual circular-arc-shaped segments which together form a closed ring when they are placed in the mounting. Moreover, the seal comprises a stop arrangement which is arranged to limit movements of the segments so that these are kept in the mounting also when the lid is removed from the pressure chamber wall. The invention also relates to a method for sealing a lid and an isostatic press.
