  • Patent number: 10104639
Abstract: A method for paging a user equipment, UE, in a radio access network, RAN, served by a core network node. When a UE attaches to the radio access network, a service area identity included in the respective a respective registration message from each UE, is received and registered in the core network node. The method further includes a step of receiving one or more data packets to be sent to a receiving UE attached to the network and determining a permitted latency for delivery of the one or more data packets to the UE. When permitted latency exceeds a predetermined latency threshold, a step of retrieving the registered SAI for the receiving UE is performed. In a concluding step in the method of paging, a first page is performed of the UE, directing the first page to cells belonging to a first paging area determined by the retrieved SAI.

  • Publication number: 20140202230
Abstract: A friction testing positioning device (10) comprises a first wheel (12) rotatably mounted around a first axis (14) at a first end section of a transmission arm (16), said transmission arm (16) being pivotably mounted around a second axis (18), at least one second wheel (20) rotatably mounted around a third axis (22) at a second end of said transmission arm (16) and a transmission means (24) connecting said first axis (14) and said third axis (22), wherein said at least one second wheel (20) engages a substructure (26) and said first wheel (12) and said at least one second wheel (20) are being arranged to rotate at different speeds of rotation. A first vertically adjustable displacement means (28) operates on said transmission arm (16) to rotate around said second axis (18) and to press said first wheel (12) into engagement with said substructure at a substantially constant vertical force.

  • Patent number: 6382069
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a device for clearing mines deployed on or in the ground using a mechanical demining vehicle operating on the rotary cultivator principle in a way that prevents major damage to the demining tool (6) or the engine (5 ). The basis of the present invention is that the demining tool (6) is enabled to deflect away from large mine detonations whereby the demining tool (6) moves in coordination with the engine so that neither it nor its drive function suffers any major damage.

  • Patent number: 6359866
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing support for voice communications and data communications at a base station which has a plurality of transceivers, each having a voice mode of operation and a data mode of operation, is disclosed. A first voice call is assigned to a first transceiver, wherein the mode of the transceiver is set to the voice mode of operation. A data transmission is assigned to a second available transceiver, wherein the mode of the transceiver is set to the data mode of operation. The data transmission is halted when a second voice call needs to be handled by the second transceiver. The mode of operation of the second transceiver is changed from the data mode to the voice mode and the second call is initiated. The data transmission is then assigned to the next available transceiver as long as a voice call does not need to be carried, wherein the mode of the transceiver is set to the data mode of operation.

  • Patent number: 4646616
Abstract: An armored hatch cover for a combat vehicle which covers the hatch opening in the vehicle turret is pivotally mounted between an open position which provides essentially circumferential direct observation from the hatch and a closed position in which the cover seats upon a margin in the turret, sealing the hatch opening. In the open position the cover protects the hatch opening and forms a small annular gap between the lower part of the cover and the margin to allow circumferential observation. The cover has a downwardly extending front part which provides additional front armor protection when in a closed position.

  • Patent number: 4065999
Abstract: A tank supporting a large-caliber firearm which can be raised and lowered relative to the tank chassis. A first magazine is hingedly connected to the firearm at its rear end, and a second magazine is hingedly connected to the tank chassis. When the barrel of the firearm is in its zero traverse position and in its lowermost position relative to the tank chassis, the first and second magazines are interconnected and a hoisting apparatus lifts successive rounds of ammunition from the second magazine to the first magazine, and the rounds are then rammed into the barrel of the firearm.
