Abstract: A fishing rod holder useful in securing a fishing rod to a boat, pier or other support structure includes an elongated tubular housing and a bracket upon which the housing may be removably seated. The bracket has a shepherd's hook upper configuration useful for gripping horizontal support structures. The housing has a pair of axially spaced apart first eyelets which hold straps useful in securing the rod holder to vertical support structures.

Abstract: A device for catching crabs is described comprised of a frame portion and attached net structure. The frame portion, comprised of three U-shaped members, can be deployed to a functional state having a perimeter from which said net structure is suspended, and a handle adapted to receive a tether line used to lift the device vertically from a body of water. When placed in a collapsed state for storage, the three frame members lie closely adjacent each other, thereby occupying considerably less space than the device in its deployed state.
