Abstract: A wireless charging system includes a wireless charging device comprising a controller, a microstrip coil, and a board. The controller is configured to be coupled to one or more power sources and facilitate transferring power from a power source to a microstrip coil. The microstrip coil is coupled to the controller, and is configured both to receive power from the power source via the controller and create an electromagnetic field for transmitting power to an electronic device. The board is coupled to the controller and the microstrip coil, wherein the wireless charging device is configured to provide power to the electronic device in a particular direction without a ferrite board. The wireless charging system also includes an electronic device that comprises a receiver coupled to a battery. The receiver is configured to receive power from the wireless charging device and provide the received power to the battery.
