    Abstract: Disclosed is a circuit for decoding code phase modulated (CPM) signals, including a pseudo-noise (PN) code storage device, storing one or more reference PN codes, a peak detector having an output with decoded CPM data, and a correlation block, including a correlation multiplexer, a plurality of shift registers coupled to the correlation multiplexer, a selection circuit coupled to the plurality of shift registers, and a correlator coupled to the code storage device and correlation multiplexer. Also disclosed is a method for operating the circuit in two operating modes for decoding CPM signals.
