  • Publication number: 20180330479
Abstract: A method to enhance quality of an image comprises receiving the image; identifying a region of the image associated with an object in the image; applying first image processing for the object in the image; applying second image processing on the remaining portions of the image.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 10097765
Abstract: The method includes in order to generate a composite image: identifying, in the frame of a video stream captured by a camera, a motion characteristic associated with moving objects in a scene while the camera captured a sliding window of the video stream. The method includes for a plurality of frames in the sliding window: controlling, by the processing circuitry, a weight of blending of the frame based on the identified motion characteristic to enable the composite image to be generated according to the controlled weights of blending of the plurality of frames in the sliding window.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 10055821
Abstract: A method to enhance quality of an image is described. The method comprises receiving the image; identifying a region of the image having skin; performing motion analysis in the region of the image having skin; and if motion is detected, then controlling blending in the region of the image having skin to avoid blurring of texture in the skin.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: August 21, 2018
Inventors: John W. Glotzbach, Ibrahim E. Pekkucuksen, Hamid Rahim Sheikh
  • Patent number: 10034026
Abstract: A method of enabling processing of a video stream is described. The method comprises establishing a slice width for frames of the video stream; receiving the video stream; dividing, for each frame of the video stream, the frame into vertical slices having the slice width; storing a frame of the video stream in a re-ordered slice based format. Computer-readable storage medium and a device for enabling processing of a video stream are also described.

  • Publication number: 20170303790
Abstract: A mobile hyperspectral camera system is described. The mobile hyperspectral camera system comprises a mobile host device comprising a processor and a display: a plurality of cameras, coupled to the processor, configured to capture images in distinct spectral bands; and a hyperspectral flash array, coupled to the processor, configured to provide illumination to the distinct spectral bands. A method of implementing a mobile hyperspectral camera system is also described.

  • Patent number: 9704269
Abstract: An image processor capable of processing wide-dynamic-range (WDR) image data using a native 12-bit image pipe. In one embodiment, the processor receives compressed wide-dynamic-range image data from a WDR image sensor. The compressed wide-dynamic-range image data is decompanded. Long-exposure image data is then extracted from the decompanded image data, and pre-processing is performed on the long-exposure image data. Short-exposure image data is also extracted from the decompanded image data, and pre-processing is performed on the short-exposure image data. The pre-processed long-exposure image data is merged with the pre-processed short-exposure image data. Tone mapping is performed on the merged image data.
