  • Publication number: 20230303978
Abstract: Provided are methods of isolating and culturing various cells in a living state including peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) isolated from peripheral blood, which use a cell membrane permeabilization method. The methods use a streptococcal hemolytic exotoxin, which binds to cholesterol present in a cell membrane so as to make a pore therein, thereby allowing an exogenous protein to be permeated into the cell, and is a technique of isolating and culturing desired cells in a living state by probing a specific intracellular protein and performing flow cytometry (FACS). According to the methods, various intracellular proteins that could not previously be isolated and cultured from a patient’s blood as well as various tissues may be targeted, and homogeneous cells may be obtained with high purity and high efficiency.

  • Patent number: 11236304
Abstract: Disclosed are a method for preparing induced pluripotent stem cells from endocardium-derived adult stem cells isolated from peripheral blood and a method for differentiating induced pluripotent stem cells into cardiovascular cells. The endocardium-derived adult stem cells are primary culture cells for preparing induced pluripotent stem cells, can be readily isolated and cultured only with a small amount of peripheral blood, have a high proliferation property so as to be storable without generic variation, and can rapidly ensure a cell number so as to be usable in cell therapy. The endocardium-derived adult stem cells have sternness, thereby having high preparation efficiency, and are derived from the endocardium so as to have the epigenetic memory of cardiovascular cells, thereby having an advantage of being able to be differentiated, after preparing induced pluripotent stem cells, into cardiovascular cells such as endothelial cells, smooth muscle cells and cardiomyocytes with a high efficiency.

  • Patent number: 11087462
Abstract: A system for determining a colonoscopy image is disclosed. The system includes a bowel preparation evaluation unit, an image processing unit electrically or communicatively connected to the bowel evaluation unit, and a convolutional neural network unit electrically or communicatively connected to the image processing unit. The bowel preparation evaluation unit determines whether a bowel in the colonoscopy image is clean. The image processing unit receives the colonoscopy image determined to have a clean bowel and outputted by the bowel preparation evaluation unit, and performs an image process on the colonoscopy image with clean bowel to adjust a contrast thereof. The convolutional neural network unit comprises a convolutional neural network and in a working mode, receives and determines whether the processed colonoscopy image is a cecal image, a non-cecal image, or an indeterminable colonoscopy image.

  • Publication number: 20210054343
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to endocardium-derived adult stem cells obtained by culturing peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) separated from peripheral blood, and a cell therapeutic agent for treating cardiovascular diseases containing the same as an active ingredient. The adult stem cells have an origin that is the endocardium and strong blood vessel formation, and is thus remarkably useful for treating cardiovascular diseases such as ischemia, myocardial infarction, and the like.
