  • Patent number: 12628143
Abstract: A terminal may include configured to receive, from a network, multiple downlink signals. The terminal may include a processor configured to identify, from the downlink signals, at least one configuration parameter including a bandwidth part switching indicator. The processor may then identify at least one resource from a target bandwidth part indicated by the bandwidth part switching indicator. The processor may then determine a bandwidth part mismatch based on whether a signal is received using the at least one resource from the target bandwidth part.

  • Patent number: 12627449
Abstract: The techniques provide solutions for a user equipment (UE) and base station to switch between T1R4 and 2T4R for sounding reference signals (SRS). The UE and base station may communicate SRS using 2T4R. The UE and/or base station may detect and evaluate a signal quality trigger and/or condition relating to switching from T2R4 to T1R4. The trigger and/or condition may correspond to a channel or radio frequency (RF) quality, conflicting or problematic band combinations used in a non-standalone (NSA) scenario, whether dedicated data subscription (DDS) subscriber identity module (SIM) or non-DDS SIM is being used in a dual SIM dual active (DSDA) scenario, etc. The UE and base station may either continue using T2R4 communications or switch to T1R4 communications based on the trigger and/or evaluation.

  • Publication number: 20260106716
Abstract: User equipment-based mitigations may improve device operation by mitigating data stalls with fewer overall computing resources being used to do so. For example, the user equipment performing a user equipment-based mitigation may itself initiate the reset, improving a time to remedy the data stall while reducing or eliminating a likelihood of the data stall being perceivable from a performance impact perspective. Moreover, further improvements to flexibility of communication network deployment may also be realized from the systems and methods described herein by introducing operations through which user equipment may detect network characteristics and change its own operation based on the detected network characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20260095786
Abstract: An apparatus of a reduced capability (RedCap) user equipment (UE) comprises one or more processors coupled to a memory. The processors are configured to detect, at the UE, a service-based scenario of the UE. The service-based scenario includes at least one of a stationary scenario, a fixed route or a normal route. The processors apply, at the UE, a service-based radio frequency (RF) evaluation based on the service-based scenario using a machine learning (ML) model. The processors perform, at the UE, a relaxed radio resource management (RRM) measurement of one or more measurement objects (MOs) based on the service-based RF evaluation determined by the ML model and the service-based scenario.

  • Publication number: 20260006561
Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for performing uplink port selection management in a wireless communication system. A sounding reference signal transmit power calculation method may be selected by a wireless device from multiple possible methods, potentially based on a number of uplink multiple input multiple output transmission layers configured for the wireless device. Sounding reference signal transmit powers for a first antenna port and a second antenna port may be determined using the selected sounding reference signal transmit power calculation method. Sounding reference signals may be transmitted using the first antenna port and the second antenna port at the determined sounding reference signal transmit powers.

  • Patent number: 12342213
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for UL traffic throughput enhancements in NSA deployments. A UE may determine that an UL data requirement is substantially greater than a DL data requirement. The UE may perform an UL enhancement procedure based on UL enhancement conditions. The UL enhancement conditions may include determining that a master cell group does or does not operate according to LTE, determining that UL data traffic is only carried via LTE bands or that UL data traffic is split between LTE bands and NR bands, determining that UL carrier aggregation is or is not available, and/or determining that blind secondary cell group addition is supported or is not support by a network. The UE may be configured to perform the at least one UL enhancement procedure thereby enhancing uplink throughput.

  • Patent number: 12261892
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) that is registered to a stand-alone non-public network (SNPN) can also access services on a public land mobile network (PLMN). The UE accesses the PLMN by transmitting a first signal to a data network, receiving a second signal from the data network in response to the first signal, wherein the second signal identifies a PLMN that is configured to be accessed by the UE via the data network and transmitting a session initiation protocol (SIP) registration request to the PLMN via the data network.

  • Publication number: 20250080306
Abstract: Techniques described herein includes solutions for mitigating interference related to antenna switching. A user equipment (UE) may determine a potential for interference to data reception on a second frequency band due to antenna switching associated with transmission of reference signals on a first frequency band. In response to the determination, the UE may select one or more interference mitigation measures based on an operating mode of the UE and one or more UE parameters. An interference mitigation measure may include backing off on a reported value, such as a channel quality indicator (CQI), rank indicator (RI), or reference signal received power (RSRP). The interference mitigation measure may further include skipping reference signal transmission on the first frequency band and the antenna switching associated therewith.

  • Publication number: 20250031139
Abstract: Systems, devices and methods for a user equipment (UE) to perform public land mobile network (PLMN) selection with a non-terrestrial network (NTN). A UE performs a non-access stratum (NAS) procedure with a public land mobile network (PLMN) of an NTN. The UE receives a NAS message from the PLMN, and the NAS message indicates that the UE is not allowed to access a core network of the NTN. The NAS message may indicate that the UE is not allowed to access the core network of the NTN because a location of the UE is unknown to the NTN, that access to the NTN is not allowed in a country in which the UE is located, or that a location of the UE is not within a country associated with the NTN. The UE modifies its PLMN search procedure responsive to receiving the NAS message.

  • Patent number: 12010614
Abstract: Systems, devices and methods for a user equipment (UE) to perform public land mobile network (PLMN) selection with a non-terrestrial network (NTN) dedicated to an international area. The UE receives a downlink message from the NTN, where the downlink message includes a public land mobile network (PLMN) identifier of a first PLMN of the NTN including an information element (IE). The IE indicates that the NTN is dedicated to an international area. Responsive to receiving the downlink message, the UE determines a current location of the UE and determines whether the current location is in the international area. The UE provides an international area notification to an access and mobility management function (AMF) servicing the UE to forward to a home PLMN (HPLMN) of the UE indicating whether the current location is in the international area.
