Abstract: An image forming apparatus transmits a fax document using a cloud server which stores fax communication history information with respect to fax numbers. The image forming apparatus includes an image forming job performer to perform a fax function, a communicator to communicate with the cloud server, and a controller to request the cloud server for fax transmission setting information corresponding to a fax number of another image forming apparatus, receive a request result from the cloud server in response to the request, and transmit a fax document to the another image forming apparatus by applying, to the image forming job performer, a fax transmission setting based on the received request result.
