  • Publication number: 20200122714
Abstract: Example control systems for automated power management of a motive machine. The features are described with reference to a hybrid powered sweeper-scrubber machine, but is not limited as such. The machine can include a main machine controller (MMC) operably coupled to an engine, and a power module operably coupled to the MMC by a controller area network (CAN) bus. A sub-system, including a sub-system having one or more electrical components such as motors, can be operably coupled to the power module by the CAN bus. To provide automated power control, the power module can monitor a load of the sub-system, and using the monitored load of the sub-system, the power module can communicate sub-system load information to the MMC. The MMC can automatically adjust an engine speed based on the monitored sub-system load information and the selected functional mode of the machine.

  • Publication number: 20180360284
Abstract: A motive machine can be selectively operable in a plurality of functional modes. The motive machine can include a drive wheel, a steering assembly, and a controller. The drive wheel can be rotatably secured to a body of the motive machine. The steering assembly can be operable to steer the motive machine. The controller can be in communication with a steering sensor, a steering motor, and a limit sensor, where the controller can be configured to synchronize the steering motor to the steering sensor as a function of a limit signal.

  • Patent number: 9937918
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and system for controlling an engine (552) in a sweeper-scrubber. An electrical system alternator (554) provides power to at least one cleaning function (576, 578, 580) of a self-propelled hybrid vehicle and to driven wheels. The operational load is monitored, and the running state of an internal combustion engine (552) is controlled based on the monitored operational load. A threshold charge, of an electrical system battery pack (556) is maintained.

  • Publication number: 20160353958
Abstract: A floor scrubber machine can comprise a chassis, a scrub deck and a propulsion system. The scrub deck can include a hands-free, double-scrub side skirt mechanism, and a dual mode side blade assembly. The chassis can include a rear squeegee assembly having a self-aligning hanger system with balanced handles. The propulsion system can include a throttle pedal having a button for forward/reverse control, and a control panel having a setting for rescaling the acceleration profile. A disc brush scrub deck can include a brush centering mechanism. A cylindrical brush scrub deck can include an idler end brush cover with self-aligning tabs, and a self-contained drive mechanism.
