Abstract: A method, performed by a first distributed unit (DU), of performing communication in a wireless communication system, includes obtaining inter-DU interface configuration information for connection to a second DU; performing the connection to the second DU based on the inter-DU interface configuration information; obtaining information about a throughput of data of at least one radio unit (RU) connected to the first DU based on information about the at least one RU connected to the first DU; selecting at least one target RU based on the information about the throughput of data of the at least one RU; and performing migration of the at least one target RU from the first DU to the second DU.

Abstract: A schedule coordinator schedules an air resource of a virtual distributed unit (vDU) in a wireless communication system. The schedule coordinator identifies a radio unit (RU) to be migrated to a target vDU, from among one or more RUs connected to a source vDU, requests the source vDU to exclusively transmit or receive first information including synchronization information of one or more user equipments (UEs) connected to the RU. The schedule coordinator allocates a source vDU-dedicated air resource to the source vDU, and allocates a target vDU-dedicated air resource to the target vDU. When a migration of the RU is completed, the schedule coordinator requests the target vDU to exclusively transmit or receive the first information, and requests the source vDU to stop transmitting or receiving the first information.

Abstract: A method of communication by a radio access network device including a distributed unit (DU) may include obtaining information about resource usage of a first DU executed through a first server by a scaling controller, selecting a second DU based on the information about the resource usage of the first DU by the scaling controller, selecting a second RU to migrate to the second DU from among at least one first remote unit (RU) processing a service of the first DU by the scaling controller, and transmitting information about the second RU to the second DU by the first DU, wherein a remaining RU except for the second RU among the at least one first RU is configured to process the service of the first DU.
