Abstract: A walking cane comprising a handle and a shaft is provided. The shaft defines a handle end portion which may be castellated. And, the handle defines an aperture wherein the aperture may have a conical shape. The handle end portion and the aperture may be sized and configured such that the handle end portion is frictionally engageable to an inner surface of the aperture. In this regard, a single handle may be associated with a shaft selected from a plurality of shafts. In other words, the handle and shaft are removeably engageable with respect to each other such that variously styled shafts are interchangeable with the handle.
