Abstract: In one aspect, a method includes (a) accessing, by a computing system, a social media (SM) platform, (b) selecting a SM content item published on the SM platform, (c) responsive to the selection, accessing a webpage of the SM platform, (d) detecting that the webpage contains a nested link object, (e) selecting the nested link object to display the hidden SM content item(s) on the webpage, (f) responsive to selecting the nested link object, evaluating the displayed hidden SM content item(s) on the webpage to determine whether the selected SM content item is displayed on the webpage, (g) repeating acts (d)-(f) until the computing system determines that the selected SM content item is displayed on the webpage, and (h) responsive to determining that the selected SM content item is displayed on the webpage, retrieving the selected SM content item via the webpage.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for displaying content on a displayable area that spans multiple panels of a multi-panel display. A method includes: (a) using a genlock signal to define a periodic write interval and a periodic output interval, and (b) during at least a portion of the periodic write interval, using a markup document to store a description of a frame of video content to a data storage unit, where the video content comprises first live video content represented by a first video stream. The also method includes: (c) during a portion of the periodic output interval using (i) the stored description of the frame, and (ii) the first video stream to display the frame on the displayable area. Further, the method includes (d) repeating operations (a) and (b) for one or more other frames of the video content to display the video content on the displayable area.

Abstract: Presently described are systems and methods for identifying a mute/sound attribute of an audio sample set having first-channel samples and second-channel samples. An embodiment takes the form of a method that includes: (i) receiving the audio sample set; (ii) for each first-channel sample, determining a first max amplitude and a first min amplitude; (iii) calculating a first span based on a first function of the first max amplitude and the first min amplitude; (iv) for each second-channel sample, determining a second max amplitude and a second min amplitude; (v) calculating a second span based on a function of the second max amplitude and the second min amplitude; and (vi) identifying the audio sample set as having a sound attribute if both the first span and the second span are greater than a min-volume threshold.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for generating a video clip and associated closed-captioning (CC) data. An example method involves accessing a first video clip demarcated into frames; accessing CC data demarcated into CC blocks, identifying a starting frame from among the frames; determining a first set of frames that are within a range of the starting frame; determining a first set of CC blocks that correlate to the first set of frames; receiving a selection of a starting position from among the first set of CC blocks; identifying an ending frame among the frames; using the ending frame to identify an ending position; and generating a second video clip and associated CC data, wherein the second video clip includes the frames spanning from the starting frame to the ending frame, and wherein the generated CC data includes the CC blocks spanning from the starting position to the ending position.

Abstract: Example dynamically adjustable tether systems are described herein. An example tether system for use with an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) may include a base and a vertically-oriented elongate structure having an adjustable height. For instance, the elongate structure may include a lower end, and an upper end. The elongate structure may also couple to the base proximate the lower end. The system may further include a tether that extends from a first coupling-point positioned proximate the upper end of the elongate structure to a second coupling-point positioned on the UAV and a computing system configured for performing a set of acts, such as detecting a change in height of the elongate structure, and causing the tether to be reconfigured within the tether system based on the detected change in height of the elongate structure.
